The Senate judicial committee just did the VERY same thing they did in 1991............ rush thru a flawed nomination while (at the same time) refusing to allow OTHER witnesses to testify to what THEY know. That's a pathetic dereliction of duty!

Seems more and more of us agree that almost everyone in both Parties are nothing but egotistical, self-serving, hypocritical pawns. They say and do whatever their Party tells them, in order to remain in it's good graces, no matter how bad it makes them look to the public.

Unfortunately, it's almost impossible for either side to come close to "proving" what happened over 3 decades ago. Set a deadline of sometime before the election, have the FBI do the investigation, and get the vote taken. This has dragged long enough. The "proof" should have been ready for presentation by now. (Prosecutors in Court only have until a certain date to ready evidence, right?) Whether innocent or guilty in this case, I hate the idea of any person having everything they've worked for their entire life ripped-away from them because of the unfounded (by collaboration or evidence) accusations of one other person.

I saw a HS friend lose his wife, his job, his house and car, and most of his friends because of false accusations made by his step-daughter (she later admitted they were false). For over 3 years he was treated like a leper and will never fully recover emotionally, financially or socially. While no woman's accusations should be taken likely, they also shouldn't be taken as fact.

I think it sets a bad precedent. How can she remember something that took place 36 yrs ago and not something so critical that took place 7 weeks ago? I don't know if the alleged assault happened but it looks fishy and I am a father of two girls and very overprotective. I just don't buy it. Her own friends cannot corroborate it. The timing is odd too.

If he is guilty then it sucks. I am OK with the GOP selecting someone else but we all must agree that there is not enough evidence here to convict him of anything.

She has unlimited money at her disposal. Countless millions of dollars. She needs to file a rape complaint in Maryland.

She can get a lawyer and have all the police records and get investigators and interviews ANYTHING she wants with the money at hand.

She can get her ducks in a row and then serve Kavanaugh to appear in court. Then we can have a jury trial. Then you can put him behind bars.

An FBI investigation at this point is meaningless, although I would agree to one within a time limit.
