A few guys have told me that at the current state of the WIS website, 48 different owners in football is impossible. So, we have decided to wait one month. If we do not have at least 30 owners by that time, the 6 season tournament will still go on with only 24 owners. A few adjustments will need to be made though. The adjustments will be explained in the forum here when/if needed. Thanks to everyone that has signed up so far. I believe we are at 16 already. If we can't get to 48 owners at least 24 looks within sight soon.

GoatHammer; love the idea, and the specifics you laid out.

I would request you consider one lower-cap league. 70M to 90M tests how we use superstars. How about one of the leagues be 50-55mil? A true test of managing a mediocre set of players.

I know what you are getting at here tomhanrahan and like the idea in theory. Do you think people would use mediocre players or just spend 5 to 10 million less on a defense?

I do like the idea of seeing how owners would use average players. Maybe if we add a restriction of no Defense under 18M or 20M range. I would like to hear peoples opinions.

I would agree that people will just spend less on a defense unless you put the salary restrictions in.

I think we would see creativity or variety.. with only 50-55Mil, either you punt the passing game, or punt the defense, or go mediocre on everything.

It would be interesting to see how people use the money. We will most likely change the 4th League to a 50M Cap League. As of now we are planning on the 5th League to be only 2000-2018 players/team units, 80M Cap and the Final League will be a 75M Cap "Forum Draft" League with every player/team units available.

Are you planning on playing in the full tournament tomhanrahan? If so, I will add you to the owners list. There are only 6 spots open if we go with the 24 owners, which is probably the way we have to go.

I like the idea of that... makes things more interesting. mugwump has been using a high powered defense... i forget the exact one ... was the bears tho I believe... both low scoring games against him in playoffs - 1-1 in playoffs against those teams. Doing it in open league with the cap restriction and being successful - i was highly impressed

so... should ideas go on THIS page, or THAT page?
