This is my first time playing...any tips? and not quite sure how to site mail and not sure how to add Hakeem to the list beside my name

Olajuwon is definitely a good player but he’s expensive for what he gives you, so be sure to manage your money as the draft goes on. 47m isn’t a whole lot for an entire team and Hakeem takes up ~10 of it off the bat without being a super high efficiency scorer like some of the other ~10m guys (like Shaq). He’s a great defender and a good all around player. Read the usage thread in the simleague basketball forum and be sure to try to round out your team without spending too much.

Also: glad to have you! Hope you stick around and play in many more leagues

jackedjamie is one of the better open league players out there, always has a top tier team. Glad to have him in this league and hopefully more theme leagues going forward!

All players not already drafted (in the post above) are available to draft. there's an unwritten rule (or maybe written somewhere) we don't mention undrafted players.

I think you're new, I might recommend looking back at a past ODL draft (last one was 70) and you can look to see who was drafted by round if need 'ideas'.

You have a list on the first page of who has been chosen, and an Alpha list of the chosen players (which gets updated once a day or so). Just look on the first page to see who all has been taken up to that point, then check if anyone has selected someone since the list was updated.

You’ll draft seven players. Nobody else can use them. You’ll fill out the rest of your team with undrafted players. Since we don’t know who your undrafted players are until the league is set, several of those players will appear on several teams.

Hakeem is yours. Pick whichever season you want.

Everyone drafts 7 players and then fills out their roster with 5 players who weren’t drafted.

And no, you can use any season. Sometimes people don’t know which seasons of their top picks they will use until later in the draft if there are multiple usable seasons with different strengths and salaries.

For instance, I drafted Bird one year and kept it flexible in my head until I knew if I needed more boards or threes since he has good seasons where those are one of the main differences.
