Since there are already 12 NL clubs (not including the Astros), I'll go with the Kansas City Royals.

We'll give the Reds another whirl

Alignment will be interesting. I'll offer up my suggestion in just a minute.

Proposed Alignment:

NL East: Braves, Mets, Expos/Nationals, Marlins
NL Central: Cubs, Cardinals, Reds, Pirates
NL West: Dodgers, Giants, Padres, Rockies
AL East: Red Sox, Yankees, Blue Jays, Indians
AL Central: Twins, Tigers, Royals, Brewers
AL West: Astros, Mariners, Athletics, Diamondbacks

Had to shift two NL Teams to the AL. The Brewers played in the AL until 1997, and the Diamondbacks are the newest team we're using, so those are the two teams I have shifting leagues. Geographically, that leaves the Indians as the farthest east of the teams that would be in the central, so they shift to the AL East.

Thoughts?

The other possibility would be moving the Marlins to the AL East, and shifting the Pirates to the NL East. That would leave the Brewers in the NL Central, and the Indians in the AL Central.
