Shoe, that comment in the CC was one right from my playbook. Keep up the good work.
You taught me well.

The hilarious thing? Benis doesn’t play in Knight. So not only is he stalking me, he’s developed a network of “friends” to stalk me.

I must have really hit a nerve with him.
We all have a network of friends. This post shows that between you two. I've noticed there's a couple D2 worlds where there are similar core groups of coaches that enjoy playing together. And I'm sure D1 is the same.

But..... if the sarcasm in the OP doesn't make you laugh, you're not having enough fun playing HD!
Pipe down Benis Jr!

Sorry dad! I shouldn't have got involved!

ok i get it now.... shoe lost to the 16 but benis was the OP and this somehow relates to some long running fued they have had about EEs.
If we’re going to move forward and call this a feud, I feel like I need to be upfront. I don’t care very much. He’s not important enough to me to keep up sitemail conversations, with various other people keeping tabs on.

I mean seriously, he put some real work into this. I’m not into that level of commitment. I’m just not looking for that kind of relationship right now. With Benis acting like a crazy ex who is eventually going to try to burn down your house if you don’t give them the attention they want, this may be a tactical error on my part; but I think it’s important to be honest in any relationship, or it’s all based on a lie, and that never works out for anyone.
Shoe! Please laugh! This is funny! Definitely a feud. And definitely important to you. You and benis have fought more rounds than Ali/Frazier!

By the way, that 16 seed sim finally lost in the Elite 8 this afternoon. It appears God Mode was finally turned off today, in time for the matchup with ab90.

On behalf of rsalud and arfy...

FUWIS.

More overalay that I haven't had that much time over 3 years that Shoe disagrees with Benis. Meanwhile we should revote on who is a minority leader.

Crazy!

Tsk tsk

Unexpectedly losing a key player to early entry as a 1 seed to a 16 seed SIM is always 100% user error. Either the coach doesn’t understand player evaluation game simulations, or the coach doesn’t understand how the system works.

The big board seedings are not designed to tell you what is going to happen. It’s a tool to help you get a picture, but it is not the picture. Coaches are supposed to use their own evaluation skills to determine if they will need to develop contingencies, or try to mitigate the risk of EE losing to a 16 seed SIM as a 1 seed by limiting certain attribute growth areas something about commodities.

The projection report Seedings don’t tell you who is going to be in the final four. Both compilations give a 100% accurate *snapshot* of how teams and players stack up. But the snapshot is not the outcome. Each outcome - whether it’s a tournament game result, or player early entry decisions - results from probability.

The game isn’t designed to tell you exactly what will happen. It’s designed to give you a look at what is likely, and then run a simulation. Lists and projections are not outcomes. Until this gets through to you, you will continue to misunderstand the game, and spread misinformation among the coaches you influence.
God this is a good post.

I wouldn't call myself God. But I agree it's a solid post.

Petty, passive aggressive, false equivalent/ non-sequitur reasoning, stalker kind of vibe. It’s all very Benis. I mean, if you asked me to compile a Benis Greatest Hits, this would be a contender, for sure.

Why, what are you bidding?

Is Benis a commodity?
Hahaha this made me laugh out loud, nice.

I've actually thought poopshoe's use of the word commodity to describe HD players as stupid and just incorrect. HD players aren't really commodities in the true sense of the word.

Im not an expert in this stuff but a commodity is good that that has a price that is set by the global market and manufacturer or brand doesn't matter. Oil can be procured from Texas or Iraq, its still the same stuff.

HD players have very distinguishable tiers of quality as designated by division projection. D1 teams aren't recruiting d3 projected players because those teams desire higher quality players. HD players are more like cars. D3 is a honda civic while D1 is a BMW M5. And 5 stars are Lambos or Rolls Royce. But cars are not commodities. The manufacturer, brand and QUALITY matters and the consumer can choose to pay more for that higher quality, if they wish.

Whether or not you bid on the good is irrelevant here. I just bid on a TV on ebay. Are TVs commodities? Nope. I bid on an antique lamp at a swap meet. Are antiques commodities? Nope.
