IMO bbunch is fine and only folks who have done this multiple times in a not-huge span of time, should be getting called out. everyone should get the benefit of the doubt if its the first time someone has seen them do it.
This is not the first time. He did it a couple times in a row with his Hawaii team (the last time was a week or two ago) and then now with his Bucknell team. Not sure about his other teams.

I've only posted names of people who have done it repeatedly. AJWalton for example has done it the past two seasons with his Pittsburgh team.

Benis, the claim on my Hawaii team and Bucknell teams is nonsense.

I'm sure I never used it for my Hawaii Pacific Team (in the last recruiting cycle, I probably got extra money as I missed the deadline, but it was unneccessary as I had one basic recruit already locked up with no competition, Elroy Weaver). Nor for Bucknell. (I mispoke earlier, I don't have extra money for Bucknell, renewal hasn't happened yet. My last Bucknell recruiting class was trash, so I must be a terrible cheater. The great classes I had a few seasons ago didn't correspond with me missing renewal deadlines).

Look at my last HPU class. One guy from Hawaii. I've had nearly no competition for top recruits there for a while, i've gone 100% Hawaii or international. My recruits have always been wrapped up there before round 2. Not to give away the big secret...but recruting in Hawaii, PR, or Florida in DII poses a huge advantage already if you use your local recruit talent + the international market. I have been taking advantage of that geography for a while. Look at where my HPU recruits come from. Do the research.

This kind of proves to me that you're just in attack mode against me and winging it without evidence. Not sure why. We don't have a history and I don't battle with people often on the forums.

I'm being as candid as possible. I actually think Mt. Olive (or St. Mary's ITX) is the squad where I inadvertantly took advantage of it a few seasons back. I think I was in the middle of round 2 recruiting and realized I had a ton of extra funds. One of my stronger recruiting classes a few seasons back might have come from extra late funds. I'm not sure which one, and I'm not a repeat offender. Whatever school it was, I remember posting to the conference corner noticing the glitch as it happened. It was a few seasons back in one of those places. Feel free to research my history with those schools if so inclined. I'm all about closing this, as well as any other loophole.

Benis, with your new agenda this morning, I don't expect you to back off no matter what my response is. I'm coming from an honest place.....but just keep doing what you do if it suits the need. Either way, I'll correct the behavior on my end (as stated multiple times) - but I can only speak to not purposefully abusing the system repeatedly, and you can choose to trust me or not (I suppose you will not).

I'm not in attack mode and definitely not winging it without evidence. Just stating facts that you did it with your Hawaii team just last season (a week or so ago) and now with your Bucknell team. And as you say, you did it previously with Mt Olive.

You seem to be taking responsibility for this and saying you're not going to do it anymore and I believe you. But I'm not just walking around making stuff up.

On another note - part of what you're sensing from myself and others in this thread is frustration with Seble that this was pointed out YEARS ago and he did nothing about it. So like most things regarding cheating on WIS, we're required to police each other.

Yes this is just a game and doesn't need to be taken super seriously but there are a lot of people who spend quite a bit of money playing this game.

By "did it", do you mean that I let the renewal deadline overlap (true)? Or by "did it", do you mean I cheated and use extra money for recruits in cycle 2 at HPU and Bucknell (not true)? That's where I'm confused.

We're probably on the same page in the long run and we both believe that policing each other is annoying with all the loopholes...and yes, you won't see that issue from me again. It's kind of a ridiculous loophole and very easily exploitable, even accidentally.

This game is one of my favorite forms of escapism, and I love competing against strong coaches. Just repeatedly putting it out there that I'm not trying to get an unfair leg up on the competition.

It's cool man. I don't get a wild thrill out of trying to bust people (okay well it is kinda fun). I just don't want to have to battle folks who have a BS advantage. You're right, we've never battled but I did just have a battle with ajwalton in Allen and may possibly battle him in RS2, so that person in particular I'm directly impacted by.

I hear you - hope you get a legit response from him. I understand where you are coming from.

For what it's worth I forgot to renew at Kansas once, may 3 seasons ago, but noticed at like 6 am and got it back with no other applicants and did not get extra funds. Also I've competed against bbunch in a bunch of worlds. Seems like a good guy, I would be shocked if he were cheating on purpose.

Ajwalton at Pitt in Allen is a serial offender. Now I understand why that program is always open for a day, season after season after season. What a bag.

You could give me 3x my regular money and I'd still suck at this game

Seriously please do it I dare you

Yeah you only get the funds if someone else applies.

This. I don't understand ANY other outcome or reason not to. As I've stated many times, this game is played in YEARS not days. So it's bonkers to not set auto renew. It makes no sense whatsoever.
Played here a long time. And I NEVER use auto renew.

I don't think it's bonkers. I'm just afraid of commitment. : )

FWIW - bbunch's Hawaii Pacific squads are ALWAYS good ... and not just when he forgets to renew.

I forget to renew all the time as well. It’s normally when I am juggling some credits and waiting for some to land. Like bunch has said, sometimes it’s more I don’t have $ on hand as opposed to “just check auto renew”.

Just because you think it looks like a duck doesn’t mean it is a duck.

100% concur, especially the juggling credits part.

For TJ and phalla (I don't know about therealjerk because I do not see you much)..... you guys have played this game for YEARS continuously. You're not going anywhere unless you make the decision to quit one day of course. Meaning you've played thru times of having an abundance of seasons/credits, and times where you've maybe not had so many. But the key is, you're ALWAYS here. You want your teams. You like your team's.

What you're NOT is coaches that are undecided about HD or whether you will return. You both have proven that over the years.

The point is, whether you have credits or not, you're still going to play! That's why I consider it bonkers to not use auto renew. Treat it like your gas tank..... sure cut it close when you need to push till payday. But never so close that you run out and have to tell your boss you can't come in today because you ran out of gas!

I'm sorry, it's just not feasible to me.
