1 AP on a D1 player Topic

I thought the ease of unlocking a player was attributable to two things. 1) tier of player. Top rated players will require more to unlock and 2) preferences.

From what I am seeing VB is a problem.

I see a lot of correlation with preferences and amount of AP to unlock. My next teams have a larger variation of preferences so it will be more beneficial to that theory.

it does look like you are right... i get that variation in high d1 too but its all off of very similar numbers, like this dude its 44, that dude is 47. looks like more variation lower down. so i sort of assumed the school level vs recruit level set like, the ballpark of AP, then prefs were a small modifier. it doesn't look that way though in your example!

i am still planning on picking up a test team to look at this, its just talking forever for worlds i can use to roll around, ill save that data you have above and try to add a bunch to it, see if its clearer then. thanks for putting that together!

My next and final update will be Crum where I have low prestige. It will show the best how preferences affect unlocking.

hey, what are the AP numbers you are using, the maximum required to unlock them after putting some unknown number in?

sorry, im pretty sure we are saying the same thing, but the way i read it is the opposite. just want to confirm.

if you did say 5 AP on a guy, and he came back 10% on his ship, you know 53AP will unlock him for sure (5/9.5% aka 5/0.095). however, its also possible 48 AP will unlock him (5/.105). are you saying in this case, its the 53, or you go to 48, then figure out how many more, and are doing the true minimum ap to unlock ship? or do you just mean the 'minimum ap to guaranteed unlock ship' which i think is the same as 'maximum ap that might be required to unlock the guy given the knowledge at the time'? aka the 53 in that example. i think we are saying the same thing but just want to confirm. also it made me wonder if folks out there were doing a lot more than me and actually figuring out the exact # of ap by like, comparing the %s of not just scholarships but hv, cv, promises to narrow the range, or something.
