Everyone who votes for Trump in 2020 should lose their voting rights for 10 years.

The Logical Left strikes again. No one here had an issue with that opinion.

LMAO
They shouldn't have their voting rights taken away. It was such a hyperbolic statement I don't think it needed to be commented on.

Now do Doug.

If Biden doesn't support defunding the police then he is really just a Republican in disguise. But, I think, many of us already knew that. This country will not be at peace, will not be free of systemic racism until we have REAL progressive policy implemented. Biden must show he supports Black Lives Matter for more than just a photo-op. Defund the police. No ifs, ands, or buts. This police state must end and if Biden isn't willing to fight it, myself and many others will not vote for him.
Ah. Of course.

Is unconstitutional and should be abolished. NOW. A democracy that does not count its citizens votes is no Democracy at all. Defund the police. Say their names. Love is love. Election day should be a holiday and mail-in ballots should be mandatory. And people's vote choices recorded. Everyone who votes for Trump in 2020 should lose their voting rights for 10 years.
um, we do not live in a democracy, it is a republic. And taking away someone's right to vote because they don't agree with you is pretty undemocratic, if you ask me.

Well, no. I appreciate you at least responding to the question, but it's telling that you gave to interpret his statement to mean something that he didn't say. I take Trump at his word. What he means is "I want to look better by having less cases, so I told people to slow down testing at the expense of American health to help my election chances." That's the literal interpretation. Either Trump is the worst public speaker of all time, or he is actively working to harm health to help himself.

If you are down, I do want to discuss Trump's immigration policy with you. I'm curious what your thoughts are on it. And your general Trump support as well. I honestly don't see how you could still vote for him after that quote, and everything else he has done.
I am an Independent. I like his economic, military, borders, pro Israel policies. I am not sure what Biden's policies are as he is incoherent and hiding in his basement. Hence I will be voting for Trump. I also dislike the Defund the Police rhetoric. I guess I lose my voting privileges for 10 yrs.
Let's run through these, OK? Starting with borders. What is your opinion on Trump changing asylum policy to put the kids in cages?

(also since this is a Trump v Biden debate, bringing up defunding the police and other leftist points is irrelevant. I don't think it matters because Biden doesn't support those positions)
Weren't kids already in cages? I think we need to be as strict as humanely possibly and "humanely" is subjective. What has been happening for the past 30+ years has not worked. I am far from an expert on border security but given concerns with the virus and any other viruses that may come over we should be a vigilant as possible. I am not sure what Biden supports. He is hiding in his basement. I would have voted for Tulsi Gabbard. I actually liked Andrew Yang too. You see me as a Trump sycophant. Which is fine.

This is as far as I take this until you share your identity.
Disingenuous nonsense.

Illegal immigration has been declining for close to a decade, Biden has the far left on his *** for his/Obama's deportation policies, you can see what Biden's detailed policies are on his site, "he's hiding in his basement" is a partisan bs trope, "I would've voted for an Assad apologist and someone else who's never held office," oh ok.

Demanding someone reveal their real name online is terrifyingly weird, too.

It's a wonder they know how to breathe.

It's because bob or someone else doxxed his name a while back (I forget what it was) so now he wants me to reveal mine in order to level the playing field or whatever. I don't question his experiences or go digging in his life. It doesn't matter. I just want to talk politics.
6/22/2020 2:12 PM
It's partisan to not be an Assad apologist. Ok.

I wasn't saying someone who hasn't held office can't run or win or get support. But I can mock the idea of it. I believe Trump is proving experience and hard work counts for something.

I think a better criticism is that Yang and Gabbard are both undoubtedly farther left than Biden is.

Don't get me wrong, I like Yang, but his appeal to conservatives is aethetic and no policy. The second Fox News attacks him on UBI or some other "socialist" program, that act would drop.

Yeah, there's that too.

I saw the video. It was a sarcastic joke. Bad taste? Absolutely but still a joke.
Nope. I don't buy it. You don't get to run back every harmful thing Trump says with an "it was only a joke" claim. He says that about every dumb thing he says.

Even if it is a joke, how can you defend voting for someone who jokes about harming Americans?
Right Tangy, of course.
BUT, I SAW the "rally" and the comment myself ON THE TV (rare for me) and Trump was definitely NOT joking.
ANYONE trying to spin it otherwise (IF THEY be real!) is clearly totally brainwashed, or stupid and in either case that individual SHOULD be barred from casting ANY vote anywhere.
6/22/2020 2:55 PM
No American (except convicted felons, maybe) should be barred from casting a vote. That is 100% un-American. If we only allowed smart people to vote, there'd be even less turnout than there is. And who decides who gets to vote and who doesn't?
6/22/2020 6:01 PM
I think felons should be allowed to vote. Maybe that's too spicy a take for some people.

More people participating in a democratic process is generally a good thing.
6/22/2020 6:14 PM
Racists and people who engage in hate speech should not have the right to vote, but I definitely think felons should (since most of them are the victims of our unfair criminal justice system).

Who gave you the right to decide who should be able to vote or not? Luckily, no one did.
