Here's the language from the post in the Theme League Classifieds:

"You can only use the correct partial version of a player if they are from your drawn team. The partial and combined versions from the 14 teams that were not drawn will be considered separate picks. You must state which version you are drafting at the time of your pick. If you take a combined version then both of those versions are considered drafted however the partial versions will still be available."

The way I read it, both of Piazza's Partial Mets and Combined Mets versions are available as separate picks. (His Partial Dodgers, Combined Dodgers and Combined Marlins versions are not available since bheid got the Dodgers and I got the Marlins.) Since the first of those available to be drafted was the Partial Mets, I think the selection of the Combined Mets version was also legal... I think the wording may be a little confusing where it says "if you take a combined version then both of those versions are considered drafted..." I think that means that all combined versions are off the board. (Ex. Someone else couldn't draft the Combined Dodgers or Combined Marlins versions of Piazza if those teams hadn't been taken.)

So what I'm saying is that I think both picks of Piazza were legal.

So:
Marlins owner can only pick the 19 PA version of Piazza (which is N/A)
Dodgers owner can only pick the 161 PA version of Piazza
There is no owner of the Mets version

Someone can draft the Mets version of Piazza (446 PA's)
Someone can draft the Combined version of Piazza (626 PA's)

Even though the all versions of Piazza are accounted for (19 PA , 161 PA, and 446 PA), can someone else really pick the Combined version

It's fine if so, but i just want to make sure this is the Commish's intention before going further.

Sorry for not responding sooner. I was busy this morning. The way it has been explained is correct.
There are in fact 5 versions of Piazza. The combined version of either the Marlins, Dodgers or Mets, and then the 2 partial versions of the Dodgers and Mets. Of the 3 combined versions, only 1 can be used. Which means only 3 versions total are available. The Dodgers version was taken in the draw since the Dodgers went to an Owner (Me), and then the Mets version can be drafted since the Mets weren't assigned in the draw. There is no partiall version for the Marlins since Piazza didn't accumulate enough PA in the WIS database.
