I have a question about FTA. I’ll use two players that have been drafted as an example.
last seasons ODL
james harden 912 irl attempts and 547 in the sim.
luka Had 537 irl to 414 in the sim.

Is it based off similar factors to shot attempts where luka had lower usage around him or is 912 a number the sim will never allow us to reach? It seems in general no matter the era of your a high fta guy they won’t be getting anywhere near there goal.

is there any way to factor this in for instance high fta players just have lower value then the stats show?

simmy doesnt tend to deliver IRL# fta numbers BUT I think of it as a pressure you are placing on the other team - maybe % fouled is in there somewhere working against whatever your opponents advanced tendency to foul is?

Makes sense I just happened to notice with my last ODL team that there were some ft inconsistencies that weren’t easily explained.

Jeez love’s newest season is fantastic. Wasn’t expecting that. Can even play pg apparently lol. Boucher seems really strong too I looked at him. But imo there’s so many similar 98%+ sf players that I find that position to be slightly less valuable early on. I just know there will always be an option for what I want.

I tried a different approach to how I drafted. I don’t know if I like the results. This team feels like a gross mess. Then again normally when I like my teams the turn out to not be very good so maybe that’s a sign this team will be strong lol. Defense should at least be good idk if anything else will work out.

Efg looks great at the very least. Although team looks like it will be light on minutes. At least it looks that way to me.

I was afk for a lot of the draft so eyeballed a few things. Think it's a solid squad but it's expensive - which is what I worried about when I drafted Gobert. Then again no one made me draft Oladipo lol.

Had to cheap out and downgrade to Harrell's 19-20 season, and it's really only a 9 man rotation, but I think the shooting and defense should be a solid foundation, and at 19,319 total mins should be able to get through the season OK.

I think with Harden his usage is so high that no sim team he is on is ever gonna have low enough usage from the other 4 guys on the court for Harden to get his full amount of usage. His usage is like 40%, so you would need the other 4 guys on the court to only add up to 60% for Harden to get his full usage on that team.
