Out of curiosity, how is it decided which of your qualifying teams advance and which franchises get an extra slot?

The lowest ranked teams are replaced by the next best teams from the same franchise. Using the table above, mllama's Brewers team would replace footballmm11.

Every franchise will have 6 teams qualify.

Both footballmm11 and myself each have 5 qualifying teams. My lowest ranked qualifying team is the Expos/Nationals. football's lowest ranked qualifying team is the Mets.

In the Expos league, the highest ranked non-qualifying teams are njbigwig (73 wins), ybjsports (73 wins). njbigwig has the tiebreaker. Both footballmm11 and pedrocerrano have 72-win teams but those two already have the maximum number of qualifying teams.

In the Mets league, the highest ranking non-qualifying teams are kstober (72 wins) and DarthDurron (70 wins).

Note that Bill_James47 technically hasn't clinched yet but he's up 4 games with 4 to play and has a rather large Exp% tiebreaker advantage, so I'm callin him clinched. That leaves two open spots with 3 teams in play. glowguy is in the best shape as he's at 84 wins and has the best Exp% (.532) of the group. redcped currently holds the 6th and final spot with 83 wins. njbigwig is chasing both but he's down 2 games to redcped and 3 to glowguy, while trailing both in Exp%, so he likely needs to sweep his final series and win those games by big margins.

Kind of a weird set up here. Myself and pedro would be eliminated steady state, but with schwarze absconding his spot that puts us back into the mix, but that would just mean we also wouldn't advance as these teams aren't in our top 4. emanes and Bill James are in. That leaves 5 teams vying for 4 spots, all between 78 and 83 wins. kstober is likely the odd man out here as he's 2 games behind njbigwig and 4+ behind everyone else AND is the lowest Exp%. Only two teams above .500 for probably the worst franchise in this round. Royals team 2-7 in our last 9 to eliminate us. Absolutely pathetic performance.

I'll never understand what happened to my Astros team. Playing in the Astrodome, my team OPS went from RL .815 down to .670, which makes sense. However my pitching staff, with a RL WHIP of 1.11, came in at 1.34. How in the hell does the Astrodome impact hitters that much, but somehow make my pitchers worse? Even if we just look at home stats, team WHIP was 1.28 and they gave up 61 HRs - right on pace with their RL rate, in a -4/-4 park.
