I think it is the correct call but along the lines of BullMoose's comment: I suggest a site mail to all and adjust the times if you are going to pause....would not be good if Whalers pick is good (he is after _jwillis) and we are just after Whalers and miss ours without knowing when we can pick and someone takes or spot. Posting in the forum will not inform all on this decision.

I was asleep when whalers pick happened. Rewind creates different complications.

The challenge is that sitemaiis to _jwillis yesterday and this morning are not opened. I sent another one this morning.

I am fine communicating an updated schedule, but the schedule depends on a variable not known to me at the moment (when _jwillis will see).

Understood I think a sitemail saying we are on pause until whalers is found and that you will issue an updated schedule at that time is enough.

Update.

I've just been sitemailed by _jwillis that he will not be able to complete the draft for reasons I find understandable.

This could be a long pause, I fear, given the time it took to get started.

I think the obvious solution is pause, but I am open to scratch/restart, letting someone from another division add a 2nd team, or even letting someone take _jwillis position (in my division) and adding my own 2nd team in the NL.

I'm going to pause until noon eastern to gather feedback (post here or sitemail) and will make another announcement at that time.

I did send a sitemail to everyone. Feel free to reply here or back channel to that.

geeze, I was excited by the league now....well....if we start up again I hope I have the time to prepare. I like draft time best so this is a bummer for someone who joined to participate in the draft process.

ermo - I put a note in our classified asking for quick help. Maybe one of our former owners will see it and help us out. Maybe you can add emergency help needed to the title or something like that.

Bull Moose. I agree with your frustration. Life happens to all of us though. Spend the waiting time finding the perfect screw team for whalers reds team that you will screw in round two. In this league you analyze the strengths and weaknesses of your division mates teams as much as your own team. I'm working on redcped's White Sox and admit I'm a bit baffled as to what direction he's trying to go that would make him pick that team.

Pause I will just save the Draft Center Team and the one tab I have of at this moment 53 on my Silk Browser Amazon Fire 8 Tablet 4 Years old

I should probably be baffled too. I didn’t start research for this league until Monday. Ironically, I rushed to get ready to make a pick and now we are stalled. I do see some issues with my choice, so I’m sure you can make it really hard for me.

As for the larger question… there is nothing wrong with a short pause to find a new owner or let someone double up. But let’s not kill momentum by waiting too long for a solution.

Feedback so far is limited.

Here is my plan, but I need one volunteer.

I'm requesting one volunteer from outside the AL West willing to move into _jwillis spot (8th in r1) who is willing to make a pick by 7pm eastern today.

If so, I will pay for and draft a 2nd team in the position you originally drew, whichever position it was. This is a move up for anyone in the NL.

Then, I will move all the draft times back one day so we can keep momentum!

*The reason I said 7pm was to protect BullMoose from having to wake up early on consecutive days, by giving him time to draft this evening.*

**I am still open to a 16th person or someone else who really wants a 2nd team, but they will need to move quickly, because I'm ready to swap in 2 minutes if someone volunteers.**
