We can open it up to 2 teams later. Leave more team options open and we can fill them on the back end if necessary.
I hope to get some of the Alums folks eventually and others looking for something after the 50 mil DCarden and 70 mil bg3OG themes get filled- both are close to capacity.
I added all of the team info and distributions to hopefully draw some people outside of the usual Sim football crowd. Something qualitative that took time and thought-- A new and interesting theme that might be worthwhile to check out. Other Sim sports games (followers) like details and organized stuff like this. And the NFL Sim is actually better when you get the right crowd and theme together. Baseball is 3 games per day- too intense, but I had fun in a progressive league for awhile. I have no idea why the NBA sim is enjoyed by many people. It’s too simple and basic. Hoops dynasty is superior. I'm over trying on other forums trying to get Gridiron dynasty folks every now and then.
Well, its the Monday after the SB and people likely have football overload after the game last night. We will keep fighting the good fight for Franchise dreams!
I've played NBA & MLB SIM extensively.. I have had other profiles, so not everything is on this one.... But I've play a lot and won a lot. Although I'm not aware of current trends, the NBA SIM is the best for allowing different strategies to compete and win. Yes, certain things work better than others, but the NBA SIM allows a variety of strategies to bring success if you implement them right.. In MLB, it's all about drafting the highest BAV# and lowest WHIP# and that's basically it. Sure, it isn't ALL there is, but that's basically what it comes down to. Ignore drafting HRs, play in a big park and hit a lot of doubles.. and draft the lowest WHIP possible. That's it... Let's face it, the NFL SIM offers the least intricate SIM in general. The player ratings are simple. Draft the best rated players possible with 'enough' stamina and that's pretty much it... Sure, there are ways to cheat the salary (draft 94 dur instead of 100), playbook strategies, and defensive focus- but NBA also has defensive focus too and it definitely matter.. And you can ride the fence with 'enough' minute drafted (NBA) and 'enough' PAs & IPs in MLB to maximize salary (which can backfire with OTs/Extra Innings or mismanagement). I'm only commenting bc I strongly disagree with your NBA SIM take. You can build offensive teams that win. You can build defensive teams that win. You can boost your offensive output by drafting a ton of assists. You can win by dominating the boards and limiting turnovers (That's what I used to do, along with having a good defensive and the best offensive efficiency I could, but the emphasis was on rebounding and not giving away the ball). I basically quit the NBA SIM and went to MLB bc the NBA SIM was dying... I recently quit MLB bc I got tired of using the same strategy over and over and over and over again, even if I was winning championships fairly regularly.
