Carlos Beltrán has started the season 0-24 in my $110M league. At this point I just want to see how far he can push it.

My Lenny Dykstra in the $140M league is playing that game, too. 0-22 so far. Let's see who wins.

The $20M per team minimum forced me to add 1972 Steve Carlton to my $110M team, since I wanted a bunch of relievers from that Phillies era. He is off the one of the worst starts I have ever had from a starting pitcher.

3 homeruns allowed
.667 OAV
6.67 WHIP (I have never seen a 6.67 WHIP)
48.00 ERA

And it wasn't just one bad start. He gave up 8 ER in both with 8 / 10 hits. He is going to pitch like 400 innings for this team. NOT GOOD.

Carlton often disappoints me, too. I’m not sure the sweet salary cap to use that 72 season, but it’s really early and things do average out.

I tried to use the '72 Carlton on one of my invalid entries at $110m... he's one of my favorites to use (i have a thread in the main forum somewhere showing insane use cases I've gotten out of him). That was one of my few disappointing changes I made working towards compliance.

Dykstra finally got a hit, making him 1-28. And he broke the streak in style with a home run!

My 80m team is hard to watch. I went with guys over .300 avg and good defense but that's not working out. My bullpen is also atrocious and not giving me a chance.... it's at 2-7, my worst so far

The bad luck run to open this competition is incredible! Just when I think it’s got to turn, Tom Henke hits a 3-run walk-off homer to beat me. Can’t make it up!

Same session! My pitcher has a 1-hitter going into the 7th. Next thing ya know, the bases are loaded. Hyun-Jin Ryu pinch hits for Elmer Steele and hits a grand slam. Are you kidding me?!

80 mil team started 4-0, now 5-11.
100 mil team started 0-6, now 9-7.

I had one day (thankfully) that went 6-0, 3-3, 6-0. Besides that day it’s been very iffy.

My 70M team has severe fatigue issues, but it sounds like a lot of people might be in that boat.
