I would ask that you please select someone SpotSell.  There is no "passing".  The 24 hour rule is not there to be "taken advantage" of when you don't like your options.  It's there as a penalty  for someone who truly is AWOL and misses or can't make their pick and so the draft doesn't take 6 months to complete. 

That is why the penalty should just be to make a pick where he was supposed to make it...........with whatever is left over.

Why do you think dropping to round 26 is an appropriate penalty?

Well, the penalty is the $500,000.  Moving to the 26th round is to keep the chain going.  And there are far fewer big stars chosen after the 1st 10 to 15 rounds.  By the 24th and 25th rounds most people are more inclined to just pick bench type players or even players intended just to screw the next owner.  The huge problem with the moving to the end is when an owner ends up with back to back picks, which I didn't cover in the rules, but I think something would have to be done then.

Now I know why I hadn't run this draft in years. We've had more issues than a magazine stand.  Could the rules have been different (better) going in? Sure.  But they are what they are and everyone agreed to them going in.  I think everyone is making things far more complicated and contentious than they need to be.

SpotSell posted 29 minutes after fatboydad54, he DID NOT miss his pick.  If he doesn't make a selection in 4 hours I will choose for him.

So now rules are being made up as we go along??

The last time I did run this I did not have the "24-hour rule" and of course there were a whole world of issues when people took forever to pick.  I had to put something in the rules this time to try and combat that and keep everyone satisfied and interested.  But of course, this time people are trying to take advantage of the rule.  The whole thing about the 24 hour penalty is that it can be avoided, especially if you know you're going to be gone for a while.  You can always have someone pick for you and as has been mentioned several times you can send "possible" picks if your pick is just 1 or 2 spots away.

If you see it that way, then you're g d right they are.  But this is not made up, like I said SpotSell DID NOT miss his pick.

Seriously guys, PLEASE just pick someone in a timely manner when it's your turn.  Is that too much too to ask?
