I think this is actually a really good idea - it would also help people legitimately not forget which team the guys are supposed to be resting on (or from gaming the system by waiting to see how divisions/leagues before announcing which team they're resting on).

well it was going to be heavily penalized if rested players actually played...no reason to uncheck the box

but good thinking tarheel...i didnt consider owners having the option which teams they want to rest their under 5 guys on

tbh...i dont care which 239k player you use....i fully expect that player to remain on rest the whole season...you should never uncheck the rest box

owners will lose 5 points for every game the scrub plays...if it happens twice its 10...third time and you are disqualified...no excuses

ill make sure to send to a sitemail out before the league starts reminding everyone to have their scrubs on rest

im so ****** at myself for falling into the amare trap....ive used billups enough to know hes best used when next to another higher usg guard...now hes gonna see the other teams best defensive guard every game and shoot 5/17...i could add more usg at sg but that will just smother kareem/amare

i had a good plan with lots of nice options...i could have had pierce, kyrie, or 3 of the other high usg guards i liked...possibly could have even rolled the dice and picked grant and the board heavy pf i really liked...then hope to get lucky and land one of the sgs i like...if any of them make it back to me theres gonna be a lot of regret

apparently sgs who have really high dreb% dont come with good defense/ast/3s....who knew?

I think Mookie/MJ/?/McAdoo/Walton would be ridiculous. Ray Allen/Duncan/Dikembe is a great trio and Stockton/Drexler/?/Dirk/Lanier would be good too.

Actually Chris Paul/?/Pierce/Russell/Ewing is up there too

A Shaq/Kyrie duo with Bobby Jones and Walt Frazier in support would have been awesome. (It's gonna be terrifying in the SIM, too.)

Any team with MJ obviously has a leg up on being the "best" in real life, though.

So far I'd say Wade/Rodman/Buck would need a marksman to spread the floor for them. I'll be very curious to see how important 3s end up being in this theme. And actually, the answer may vary among the five leagues. All the layers of all the variables are starting to make my brain shudder.

If it's pre-injury Walton, and if they add a really good 3-and-D guy at SF, I think that's the team to beat. 1985 Celtics Walton, that's still a really good team, but post defense wouldn't be great against the Shaqs, Kareems and Hakeems. (This is an opinion of the IRL squad. SIM, I don't know).

Just three guys now, but Magic/McHale/Manu is peak Ringzzzzzz culture.

Yeah this would be a killer real life league. Lots of good squads. Gonna be a nasty SIM league too. I’m DQed from the talk of best real life squads because Donyell Marshall wasn’t considered that good in real life, but I should be able to do some SIM damage

It would be interesting to see Russell held back with that squad of habitual losers.
