How hypocritical is the NCAA?  They refuse to set aside the BCS system and replace it with a college football playoff system, mostly in the name of "students will miss too much class".  Yet two and a half months later, between conference tournaments and March Madness, they endorse and promote nearly a month long hookey-fest for dozens of men's college basketball teams.

They very hypocritical.   That said, I think basketball is less time-consuming "beyond the game" so the kids can be tutored during their down time.  I just think there's less film study, learning of playbooks, etc, etc.   Basketball is relatively simple when compared to football.  Same can be said of baseball.  You can only study an opposing pitcher for so long.

No doubt the nuclear energy debate is going to be renewed after what is occuring in Japan.

Don't profess to be an expert, but it seems the high level debate is;
-green energy is safer, but can't produce what is needed unless it is hydro electric
-even then, debates as to whether hydro electric is green (affects fish population)
-nuclear energy is cleanest mass producing fuel...except when it goes very bad.

If you ruled the world, which way would you go?

I'm fine with nuclear energy.  I recommend not living near nuclear plants.   At some point, after I'm long gone, the world is going to have to learn to be more energy efficient.  If I ruled the world, I wouldn't change anything right now.   But I'd put money into teaching people conservation of energy sources.

No more than I did to celebrate KKK day on Friday.  (3/11 on the calendar).    I know this because the band 311 was accused of being RACISTS!!!!!!   K is the 11th letter in the alphabet for those who are going "Huh?"

The Moose-Humping tourney.   But all males of age compete so there's no conference tourney to decide who gets in. 

With all the moose-humping brackets, they don't have time for another one.
