I believe that McGehee will be a free agent because of 6 years in the minors.

That's if you're still in the minors after 6 years. He's in the ML now so that isn't the case.

As long as he's on the 40 man roster he won't become a free agent until he completes his arbitration years.

Jesus Colome, signed a few weeks ago after being released by Washington, is being called up to the big leagues. Completely ineffectual y RJ Swindle DFA'd.



In three different stints this year, Swindle allowed 12 hits and 12 runs in 6 2/3 innings, for a 16.20 ERA, with three homers, four walks and eight strikeouts.
