1980 Ben Oglivie, Milwaukee Brewers, $6,403,871 ($62,570,965)

I tried to resist, but when strategy fails there is always plan B to make me feel better about my team. Going with:

1969 Phil Niekro - Braves - $9,168,825 ($65,557,942)

mostly because I can now name my team to "celebrate" a musical genre which dominated a small portion of the timeline covered in this draft.

We will be known as "P Niek! at the Disco"

1989 Braves OF Lonnie Smith $6,314,039

New Total: $64,388,462

I don't have as cool of a reason as calhoop for this pick, but I do desperately need some left-handed hitting, so:

OF John Lowenstein - 1982 BAL - $4,105,246
7/4/2020 10:10 PM
Ready, Randy 1987 San Diego Padres $3,536,684

I'm pretty sure this guy is still available, but I'm not 100% sober, and I'm on my phone in bed.

1981 Bill Gullickson - P - MTL - $7,506,861

If this is a legal pick, would someone SM for me? Otherwise LMK and I might be able to correct it before I crash.

He's available, and you have that season and team open. I think you're good.

(I'll pick shortly)

He could fit so many teams and seasons, surprised he hadn't gone earlier

He had 6 of the 23 highest salaries left on the board ... but 77 wasn't one of them. His best year, I think. Very solid for my 4th SP.
