"Ineffectual"?
8/7/2009 1:58 PM
"completely"
8/7/2009 2:05 PM
Ah. Your massive vocabulary confused me. I didn't think ineffectual was a word.
8/7/2009 2:18 PM
It didn't used to be, but they had to invent a word to describe people like RJ Swindle.
8/7/2009 2:31 PM
Swindle claimed by Tampa... apparently he still has an option but the Brewers needed to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Colome so they didn't exercise it.

Sending Villanueva out for the sixth inning was self-delusion at its finest.

Another Brewers castoff ends up in Tampa. Balfour, Gross, Kapler Shouse, Dillon.Whats up with that? He will probably turn into a good pitcher like Balfour did.

Both Dillon and Swindle were DFA'ed today. Tough couple of days for Swindle...DFA'ed twice.

Nice win, good to see another team's pitching implode rather than the Brewers'.

Stormy Weathers rejoins the team, and Wandy shuts down the Crew.

I don't know how the Cards and Cubs will be able to handle the Crew now that they've added Vargas, Jesus C., AND Stormy Weathers to the pen.

I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it again.

Why score when you can suck?

I went down to Chicago a few days ago and took the Wrigley tour. I felt so dirty for giving the Cubs $50 for 2 people on the tour. What really ****** me off is one of the highlights in the video was the Rameriez Hr off Cordero in 07. I must say it was a pretty neat experience though.

You may be familiar with the baseball rule that you can't assume a double play when, for example, the second baseman makes a bad throw to first after getting a force at second... no error is charged to the second baseman unless the throw is so bad that the batter is able to advance another base.

Apparently there is some sentiment that this rule should be changed.

The proposed new rule:

"You can't assume a double play... unless JJ Hardy is batting."

That's very anti-Met of you, cresty.
