I have no memory of Lofton playing in SF or Percival in Detroit. Interesting how this league makes you notice things like that.
yes, Percival was one of a line of RPs at one point who were once great (often shortly before the Tigers got them), but were awful wearing the Olde D. You found yourself happy if they just managed to be 'meh'

man I wish I had known that Thurman Munson would have lasted that long I would have picked a different A's instead of Terry Steinbach (I mean Terry is good but Thurman just needed one or two more years and he is a shoo into the HOF in my opinion). One of my fav players in the 70's
