Idiot. 2009's burden was lower than 2008's.

Correct, but that was just as Obama took office.

2010 was higher than 2009. That is during Obama's time in office.

Is there something about dates that confuses you?

2009 is fully Obama's. You seem to be confusing Tax Freedom Day with the filing date.

On top of that, even if TFD advanced one whole day from '09 to '10, both Obama years still featured lower tax burdens that any Bush II year, or any Reagan year.

Please stop being such a fukktard.

And Obama gets the benefit of the hige debt, and so many public sector jobs.

If you include the debt in, Obama is worse than any Bush year.

Some good lines. Too bad dude didn't practice what he preached.
And Reagan, like most other Presidents before and since, learned that it is easy to make promises and platitudes while speaking, than to actually get the Congress (especially one controlled by the opposing party) to agree to actually cut programs (i.e. jobs and voters).
Much easier said than done.

Can you imagine what Reagan could have accomplished if he had the huge majority that Obama is working with.
5/30/2010 10:40 AM
No, I can't. Why don't you enlighten us?

How about eliminating the Dept of Education and Energy. How about partial privatation of Social Security. How about a balanced budget.

With an all Dem Congress he destroyed the Soviet union.

Fact is last time we went 4 years with a dem president and Dem Congress it was a disaster (Carter).

Fact is, last time we went with a GOP Pres and a GOP Congress it was a disaster, so what's you're point?

Bush never had the huge advantage Carter had or Obama has. He was always in negotiations with Dems.

Give Reagan the edge Obama has and we would have a Constitutional Republic!

I think you're confusing him with John Rambo.

Maybe the point here is that since neither party can apparently control themselves, neither party should be permitted to have control of both branches of the government?

Some Dems like to point to the Clinton years as proof of their fiscal responsibility, without mentioning that 6 of the 8 years Slick Willy was in the Cigar Hot seat, he had a Repub Congress that was pulling at almost all of his budgetary pursestrings.
