I'd shorten his PC to about 50 and use him as a Tandem B if he was one of my better pitchers. If your starter pitches a long game, you might be able to use him again in game 3. Use him as TB when he's 100%. Otherwise, since he's really not a stud, I'd put him in LR.

I assume you don't mean first overall. I'd submit three names for worst first rounder ever in different categories:

1. Production per dollar: Russell. I can't think of any player who was paid so much to do so little. I'd give Tim Couch and Joey Harrington a shout out in this category.

2. Production for the hype: Tony Mandarich. The hype machine had you believing that he'd be bulldozing pro bowlers for years. He did become a servicable G at the end of his career. Brian Bosworth gets honorable mention. Both admitted to massive 'roiding in college.

3. Production vs. Jerk Behavior: Ryan Leaf. He was a guy who just didn't get it(much like Russell). However, he couldn't not be a jerk. He wanted to be treated like the star despite his obvious lack of star quality. I don't think anyone else deserves to be listed with Leaf.

Actually I did mean first overall - you are aware that Russell was the #1 overall pick, aren't you (though Leaf was admittedly #2)?

Yes, I am. But, since you mentioned Leaf, I assumed you knew he wasn't #1 overall and attempted to respond to your question. I think, as #1 overalls go, it's Russell hands down due to #1. There have been players drafted #1 who sucked as bad as Russell. But none made the same dough.

I've had a sinus infection for the past 11 months. I've been to the doctor 3 times and have taken antibiotics and allergy meds. How do I get rid of it?
5/7/2010 6:31 PM
I'd see another doctor. If he can't fix a sinus infection in a year, it's time to do something else.

Where is Todd Marinovich in all of this??

He should have. Not sure if he did.

I seriously considered Marinovich for all three categories. But he just didn't quite make the grade.

Would you do an extremely fat chick if it was completely dark and nobody ever could find out.
5/7/2010 9:54 PM
Wouldn't it be more interesting if erff slept with 3 women at the same time without none of them knowing about the others?
5/7/2010 11:31 PM
I guess it depends on your definition of "extreme" and how drunk I was.

I don't see why not. But you don't. You're posting on this board.

Yes. But you don't. Please see above.

I guess if we're pretending that erff likes women, I think so.

How do you handle the minor leagues when major league rosters can be expanded?
5/8/2010 7:38 AM
It depends on my BL needs and if the minor league team(s) will be in the playoffs. Obvoiusly, the BL team comes first. If I need depth, I call up anyone on the 40 who can provide it. If I'm good in the bigs and my AAA team is playoff bound, I'll call up fringe players(on the 40) to provide depth and leave my true prospects in AAA to get the most playing time. As for the other levels, I'll promote anyone who is scheduled to be promoted next season to get playoff time.

How does Jamie Moyer throw a shutout at 47 years of age? Is he on HGH? Do the Braves suck that bad? How can this be?
5/8/2010 8:21 AM
The Braves can't hit and Moyer has excellent control.
