Is Scrooged a Christmas movie? If so...That's mine. I think Bill Murray is a genius. Does anyone have any big plans for Christmas? Nothing grand here...just enjoying the day at home with the family. Peace and quiet, lol.

my wife is a big fan of dumb hallmark movies and im a big fan of her shutting up for two hours, so i've got to go with all the hallmark christmas movies.

on the flip side, favorite christmas song? that john lennon one for sure
i always hated the hallmark channel!
but youve made me see it in a whole new light Gil !

tough choices:

I'm going to go against tradition and say:

1. Grinch (both the movie and cartoon are awesome)
2. Elf
3 Its a wonderful life (sorry jimmy, sometimes i need a good laugh so you got bumped)
4 a christmas story

sorry pallas....
i dont know if i would go all the way to "hate" ... thats a strong word
but Home Alone doesnt do much for me.

1. A Christmas Story: best part of holiday for me, 24 hours on TBS on Christmas Eve
2. Christmas Vacation: "sh!tter's full" is an all-time great movie line, and Chevy Chase has the best scene ending with "an @sshole emptying a chemical toilet in my sewer"

Others nominated that I'll stop down for, but not must see viewing: Home Alone, Its a Wonderful Life; dig the cartoons -- Rudolf, Grinch Stole Christmas, Charlie Brown, Frosty

gil has given new perspective of the gloriousness of Hallmark Channel.

And final note, Die Hard was taken off the top by the topic starter, but it is THE Christmas movie HOF

If you’re born in the 80’s or 90’s Home Alone stands the test of time. I can see how people born before then didn’t latch on to it.

Ill throw one out there and I’ll stand by it. Love Actually is a good one. The first watch is obviously the best though.

What is your best New Year's Eve memory?

Most are usually bad aren't they? And I'm not sure they can be called memories if you don't remember them!

Blackout!

so like 6 pages ago i was looking to maybe get a knight team but couldn't see knight world and that's where seble wasn't too happy with my request to 'borrow' someone's account for a day to look.

what i didn't know is - when the hell did they put a 'world overview' feature in? has this always been there? does anyone else know this thing exists? first i've seen it, but i could totally believe its been there for ever or something. i kinda figure someone would have brought it up if everyone else knew about it though, so i figured i'd share it here -

if you go to the main jobs page https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/Signup/Default.aspx
then instead of clicking on the 'reserve a team' or whatever it says when its signup time button, you actually click on the name of the world, like Knight or whatever, it takes you to this whole 'World Overview' section.

you can go to any conference in any division, look at any team, etc. - for years, i've seen posts like 'i can't see world X can someone check Y for me?' and never once can i recall this coming up. its actually super cool. you can't go see the draft board or projection, or rpi listing or ranking pages (at least, i don't think you can), but you can do a heck of a lot more than i thought (which was to randomly click coach names until you find someone in the world you want and then hope they are in the division you want and then go from schedule to schedule trying to find someone who plays someone in the conference you are looking for... so you can finally find the team you are looking for).

pretty cool IMO.
