Just past the ASB, so fatigue is starting to set in... lost my starting RF in unjury, and my defensive 2B who had been hitting way above his head has crushingly come back to earth.
However, I'm still sitting at 59 wins, 2 games up on the next best team in the NL, and 6 up on the 3rd best. In short, I'm legitimately defending a bye position.
I have 2-3 year pros in the minors who are MAJOR upgrades over my bench players to slot in at RF, 3B (slide my current 3B over to 2B), and b/u C (vL platoon) that I had been planning to promote 20+ games in next season to gain an extra year of control. I have a pitching staff built to win now, with 3 of 4 top starters in or beyond arb.
I have a chance to win right now, so I'm making the right call to bring these young players (who are ALL still developing) up, as long as they're getting ABs, right?
