A local band asked me to come sing for them when their singer quit.   Not that I had the job but they wanted to see how I sounded with their band.   But that was almost 30 years ago.  I didn't go because they said they practiced at least 3 times a week and played Fri-Sat.  Too much of a time commitment for me.

Rock.  They played pretty regularly but a few hundred bucks a night split between 4 people didn't seem like a worthy time commitment.

I have heard of teams using their best relief pitcher as a setup man and getting more innings out of them this way.  How do you feel about this approach?

There are a lot of way to play and win at this game.   IF owners are concerned with getting max IP from their best relievers, they'd use them at tandem B every time they hit 100%.   IOW, there's a lot of lip service in the forums.  Take it for what it's worth.   As for me, it depends on my team.  I used Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Gabby Wilkerson exclusively as a closer last season.   He's been my best RP for 5 seasons.  He got some closer opps in previous seasons but this was the first full-time gig as a closer.    Cost me 15-20 innings but I won 109 games and the WS.

How ****** off should I be about this one?

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Juan Suarez

Four games left in the season, he's 99% so I'll give him the rest of the regular season off to get healthy for the playoffs.  Doesnt play the PM2 cycle yesterday, didnt play  the AM today, then PM cycle today goes down with a knee injury -- at 99%, without even playing, with 18 in medical.  I also dont qualify for the medical bug so that's a downer.  Damn it!

Jack up your medical next season.   I see 300 days and I know that isn't right but, if it carries into next season, you can benefit from the extra medical budget.

So I just took over a team and I have the second pick in the Amateur draft. Which of these 2 guys would you rather take? Right now I'm leaning towards the catcher.

Speaking of health, with the 3rd pick in the draft would you take a pitcher with 50 health and ace stuff, or a pitcher with #2 stuff and 90 health?

I don't think you can go wrong with either one.   Depends on what else you have in the way of catching, IMO.

I tend to shy aways from pitchers with lower health.  But, if he's a once in a lifetime kind of talent, I'll gamble.  If he's that good, he'll survive an injury or two.
