Is there any upside to the White House releasing the bin Laden death photo?  Or would it do more harm than good?

In the Muslim world, it will do absolutely no good.  One could say it would **** them off but they're already ****** at us so I don't know that it would do more harm.  In the US, it would be a good thing.  One could choose to view it or not so no one would have to be offended.   However, for those who need visual evidence, that might convince them that his death isn't some political manipulation.

Doesn't anybody with half a brain, even a Canadian on a good day, realize that photos can be faked?  With that in mind, does a photo really prove anything?

Plus, doesn't releasing the photo just open things up to even more conspiracy theorists who will then attempt to "prove" that the photo is faked?

It's all about perception.  A photo of Saddam's dead sons made everyone happy.  I suspect a dead Osama would do the same.
