To tell the truth, I almost turned the TV off... glad I didn't. Luongo gave up 2 bad goals (you cant call that third one - the 4-1 goal, a bad one randle as it was a breakaway), but then when it really mattered he shut the door making more than a couple top game saving stops. Just as they said about Grant Fuhr, its not how many you stop, its when you stop them that counts.
Like juskay said earlier I could care less how we win as long as we win. Sure Lu has been fighting the puck lately, but he isnt the only one. How many bad defensive breakdowns have we seen on this road trip that have directly led to pucks in the net. Luongo can't be expected to bail the team out every time. Likewise, sometimes the team needs to bail Luongo out. I would say that was the case tonight except that once we got that second goal Lu was his old self again.
The team will get it together. They have maybe played a full 60 minutes 5-10 times all season...and yet look at their record. Scary to think what it would be if they were consistent. On the other hand looking forward, when we do finally put the whole thing together (and I'm confident we will) we are going to benefit immensely from all these come-from-behind wins. The players know they are never out of a game...almost like they expect to come back. Reminds me of last season's Hawks...speaking of which....
Why the heck is everybody so scared about facing the Blackhawks in the playoffs???? We've split the season series after all. Yes randle, you read that right. They do not hold some strange spell over us like they do Calgary.
