do they actually give out two week prison sentences?

Unless you're a lobsterman, I can't imagine many things sucking work.  Except for tec's golf game.

They call 'em work release.

Although they do have alcohol in Maine, and last time I was there I imbibed over $400 worth, and wrote it off in my expense report.  Doesn't that count for something?

Would you sign this guy as the #2 pick, or just roll the dice for next year?  Next season I will have 18/18 in Scouting (at least if I don't sign this guy, I will) and likely another top 3 pick.  He's 18 Years Old:

I gave up golf when, in trying to improve from 90-95 for 18 holes, my game leveled off at 120.  I am now average at horseshoes.  Should tecwrg take up horseshoes?
6/30/2010 5:30 AM

Yes, I'd sign him.   I think he'll be a 3B not a SS.

I would assume you're playing with retirees.    Who use walkers.

That is certainly possible.   I'd just not mention it.

At his age, horseshoes are probably too heavy.

Maybe tecwrg would like some youth horseshoes. Instead of the usual 2lb8oz to 2lb10oz weights, these weigh 2lb even. Would that help tecwrg, since he would move up closer as an elder if he is as old as you say?
6/30/2010 7:40 AM
It may.  Still seems pretty stressful for a man of tec's age and physical condition.
6/30/2010 7:51 AM
What about wheelchair curling? If someone pushes his chair?
6/30/2010 9:28 AM
That may work.  As long as they don't push his chair too fast.
6/30/2010 9:34 AM
So, he just does draws? The takeout game is for the "young 'uns"?
6/30/2010 9:35 AM
Oh, yeah.   Getting bumped by another chair would send his heart racing.  Could lead to a stroke or something.
