The dumb thing about all of this is that I knew going in that the rule was not perfect (and even that there were loopholes) but I truly didn't think it would matter or even come up.  I thought we could all be grown up and fair enough to just pick when it's your turn to pick and then play a silly little game at the end of it all.

And by the way, until I hear back from Admin, I still say there is no passing.  If you want to fart around and slow everything down for other owners by waiting 24 hours, then that's fine (under the whole pretense of the fact that was the actual rule) but not once in the original rules does it say you can pass or skip your pick.

Yeah, I have no intention of actually passing. I'm just shuddering at the kind of chain you can build with three links in a row, even at 1.5 mill down. Hopefully we'll have enough maturity to avoid this, but evidence is not really present for that.

We are not encouraging passing, but if some one fails to make a pick for any reason, the punishment is already laid out. A person cannot "pass" or not make a pick within the 24 hour deadline and then have a pick made for them. That would be unfair and go against the rules. We must enforce the initial rules prior to the draft beginning.

The idea of a pass being in a best interest for anything other than building long chains to abuse the game is silly, for reasons I've already explained. A junk pick is, in isolation, strictly better than a pass, because 200k for a 200k player is better than 700k for a 200k player. It's not like anyone's had so much junk that there bench is full already.

Be aware that the other owners in this league are watching your behavior here and will remember this in future leagues. It's all I can say at this point because nothing else seems to work.

There is nothing bizarre or ridiculous about that, he is stating the rule the admin even posted.

I'm really just beating a dead horse here, because no matter what I say you're going to do whatever the hell you please.

Directly from the initial rules prior to drafting:

"Before the draft begins I will randomly select a player from baseball-reference.com.  I will use random.org to randomly set the draft order.  Then the first owner to draft will have to select a player (with a WIS eligible season, obviously) with either the exact same first name, the exact same last name, or the same initials."...
Then each subsequent pick must match the previous pick by either first name, last name or initials

I don't think grayfoxx pick of Jackie Robinson is good. It was made AFTER 24 hours went by since the previous pick.

Which means uncleal will have to repick off of J.C Romero

Uncleal has to re-pick using J. C. Romero. All other picks are not valid.
