246 to 209 sounds about exactly what they intended.

Of course it's connected. Didn't you read the intention of the update?

But just because a guy with 88 power hit more homers than a guy with 91 power doesn't mean unintended effects occurred.

Multiple people have made this statement.

What about the wording of the update anouncement led you to believe that they intended a radical drop in the number of homers hit?

Their wording implied that top end homer hitters would be somehow limited so 80 homer guys would be a thing of the past.

You can answer the question also. What about the wording of the update led you to believe that a 15% drop in homers for some teams would happen?

Deal with it.

A drop of about 15%.

Of course we could never connect this to the new update. We would have to play thousands and thousands of years before we could ever imply that the two are in some way related.

Your 246 HR team last season played in a pitcher's park, Wichita.

Does it seem realistic that any team playing in a pitcher's park should hit 246 HR's?

I expected a drop in the big power numbers. I didn't put a % on it. Teams built largely on power were going to feel it the most.

It is a pitchers park, but it isnt the worst homer park, to RF it is only a -1.

Given that no matter what if the game system gave me 246 HRs last year and 209 this year isnt that a Major cahnge and not the little tweek they implied was coming with their update notes?

I have never heard WIS mention there was a huge problem with overall HRs before.

From 2005 to 2006 the Texas Rangers went from 260 HR to 183.

It's more dramatic in real life.

And of course one team can always do that.

This is across the board. It is not limited in any way, looks like 15-20% depending on the world.

The issue is if MLB said that they wanted to reduce the top end of HR production and made a rule change that Radically impacted the very fabric of the league people would freak.

Where did you get that it was a 'little tweek'? I got the impression it was going to be a big tweek from everything they said. They said 'the steroid era is over', that clearly implied a big tweek. Please point me to what you read that made you believe it was going to be a small tweek.

So we are down to 3 points of information about what the update was supposed to do.

1 The little update note in the Forums. To me this indicates a minor tweek that would have little game impact.

2 The chat just after the update. Again this seems to indicate a minor adjustment. Maybe a little deeper than before, and going a little deeper.

3 Ticket Responses. Very confused.

Where are any of you getting that this was suppsed to have a huge drop in total HRs across all worlds?
