I didn't mean to point fingers at any one person.  I'm more mad at myself.  Picking on the end has it's advantages (more time to contemplate who my picks will be) and disadvantages (must wait 46 picks before you get to choose again).  I wanted to "keep things moving" last night, so I made my choices a little bit hastily.  And for what reason?  So somebody else could use the extra time?  It doesn't seem to matter how quickly I draft as we always "catch up to the schedule" shortly thereafter.  I guess what I am saying is that I will be a little more deliberate in my selections going forward.

Well I appreciate you picking quickly.  I loathe having to get up way early to make my pick.

And Shooter, to be fair, you hold up entire leagues for days.  You've earned this reputation for a reason.

I went back and forth between Terrell Brandon for my back up point guard or Dale Davis.  I was hoping he might slide to me with my next pick...oh well!

I def had him on my list for a while, but not sure he would still fit my plans. Just crossing my fingers poddy doesn't take my man.

It is harder to proxy for this type of draft than a one-shot league like the ODL  I've got a list of about 15 different guys I'm interested in for the next few rounds, but I really want to see what happens in the picks leading up to mine before I send off a list of 12 players (and tip my hand about future interests).  shooter is notorious for taking his time getting into leagues, but I don't have a problem necessarily with his "holding up the draft" this time around.

So let's either change the draft rules (e.g., you get two hours to pick from the time the guy before you picks) or just assume this thing is going to go according to the schedule.

I was in a draft with rules like that in the baseball sim and it was a complete disaster.

We ended up having to start over.

Could not agree more ... really wasn't advocating that kind of a change, just trying to make the point that the system we have is pretty damn good.  Just might mean a few lulls every now and then, which we can probably all live with at the end of the day.

I agree.  It's even harder when you have two picks in a row.
