AMISH are not political and when they are, they vote Red mostly. MENNONITES are political and when they are, they vote Blue mostly. I have NEVER seen a MAGA hat, shirt, nothing at a MCC sale or convention. I have seen Hillary Clinton merch there. Our Pastor voted for Clinton and is open about it. Trump gets mentioned in our peace prayers. There was an anti Trump immigration rally that was advertised in our bulletin last week.
Please explain how you can be a pacifist and pro abortion. I'm curious.

I'm not pro abortion.

You said your church votes predominantly blue and you said your church are pacifists. The left is pro abortion. Please explain how you can be pro abortion and a pacifist. Thanks in advance.

I don't know about the rest of the church, who all have different opinions to one another, but I am not pro abortion. You can vote blue and not be pro abortion.
8/12/2018 9:36 PM
I agree, but I think we can both agree that a major platform of the left is abortion rights.

Let me rephrase the question. How can you be a pacifist and vote with a party who has that as part of their platform? I'm confused.
8/12/2018 9:42 PM
Sure. But you can vote for a party without agreeing with literally everything they stand for. There are more conservative philosophies against it than liberal philosophies. At least that's how I feel. I won't speak for anyone else/

A lot of conservatives want to ban abortion outright, which isn't very pacifist either. It's a difficult issue in my mind. Again. I can't speak for anyone else.

If a requirement for voting was to agree with every single policy the person you are voting for believes in, there wouldn't be many votes.
8/12/2018 9:49 PM
You're right. I only have 1 deal breaker issue as far as receiving my vote. The rest are negotiable.

His father was a Jewish Mennonite pastor? LOL
8/12/2018 10:02 PM
My dad isn't Jewish. It's passed through the mother's side. His mom isn't Jewish.

Most Jewish people are smart and well off. What happened to you?

Tangplay is so stupid. None of those negatives are big deals and some are positives. Damn we have dumb people in this country.
to you, none of those negatives are big deals. To other people they might be. Yet another example of you thinking your opinion is fact.
Everything I post here is opinion. If I say you are a moron, its my opinion.
I can't even remember the number of times I've seen posts from you saying you PROVED something. If you prove something it is not an opinion, it is a fact. So which is it, is everything you post here an opinion.
And, if you think I am a moron, that is your opinion. If your opinion is that I'm a moron, my opinion is that you are not aware of what moron means.
8/13/2018 12:17 PM
I didn't mean it literally about you. If post stats then its proof, yes. I rarely do that. One time I did show tangmoron that the US spends 16% not 51% on military. That was a fact.

just because its a deal breaker for you, does not mean its a deal breaker for everyone else. I, for one, think a woman should have the right to choose to have an abortion, or not up to a certain point during the pregnancy. Would I be happy if my daughter chose to have one? For many reasons, I would not.

I have 4:
  1. Balance the budget;
  2. Increase military spend;
  3. Support Israel;
  4. Fix the illegal immigration issue as best as it can be fixed.
