I was eyeing Randy Winn for more than a few rounds. There were other OF3's I would have been ok with, but I really needed somebody who could play CF and who's value wasn't tied up in HRs since he'll be playing home games in a pitcher's park. The fact that he is a switch-hitter is a bonus. I though alice might take him this round, so I couldn't wait any longer.

This is getting tricky. Lots of variables to juggle not just with who to pick, but even more with who NOT to pick and accidently box yourself out in another bucket/franchise combo. All while trying not to waste salary. Hmmmm.

There are worse fates than having to settle for a guy with a .323 / .431 / .619 slash line. I went back and forth between choosing offense (Sheffield) vs defense (Winn).
