Anybody check out the updates for the new version of the sim?

As I posted in the league forum - if we want to get on board with 4.0...

Our current finals will be over by Tuesday latest. Tuesday is also slated for the launch of 4.0.

As 4.0 reflects a sitewide enhancement, we will automatically be upgraded to the NEW Draft Center.

Also, one of the new enhancements is that MLers are supposed to now improve over time regardless of whether they play or not. While a minor tweak for most sim players, this obviously has HUGE implications for US.

BUT we will remain on the old game simulation till WE tell admin to change it for us. So if we want it to change we need to vote on this.

I suspect with it being a long weekend for many of you, and with our league being in the finals right now, we've got a lot of owners not paying attention, and we might miss the window on this. We could address it in the next week, but that might mean blowing up the upcoming draft and putting off next season for awhile.

I would like to see the switch to the new sim. Let's flood OKP with site mails asking for this to happen for our up coming season! The draft options, and player improvements while in the Minors is HUGE!!! Not to mentins cool things like Dman leader stats. Let's do this people!!!

Might as well make it 4 yes votes in a row here, I think the timing is right.

I am also for the upgrade to 4.0. And also think the sooner the better so we don't miss out on the upcoming season.

I say yes to upgrading to new engine and all changes for the upcoming season if at all possible.

Would we use the shootout feature?

I'm cool with the shootout (in this league) and I might point out... considering the amount of ties we have in the MLD, we might be using the shootout a lot.

Of course, I do have one of the historically poor scoring MLD teams, so it may not be good for me...

im in favour of the new version. i say nyet to the shootout though, in principle i am against shootouts in hockey.
