Hmm, 4th best record overall currently, despite the number of injuries (4th highest man games lost this season I think I read). I wouldn't call that a mediocre regular season. 25 other teams would love to swap spots.

Overall many of the forwards are having career seasons. A couple d-men are haveing career seasons but most are haveing sub par seasons I would say.

And I would agree this is a sub par season for Luongo based on his ability (although his sub par season puts him in a big tie for second best goalie behind Miller. Other than Miller all other starting goalies have thrown up more than a few bad games)

We have a mixture of Vets and youth. Starting next season we don't have any overly inflated salaries dragging us down (5 mil cap hit for your starting goalie is close to the league average). And there are some prospects worth being excited about. IMO our biggest remaining hole will be top 3 d-men for next season which we are currently lacking.

Our current roster looks about as good now as it ever has in Vancouver. And there are only a handful of teams in better shape than the Canucks over the next 5 years.

1)look at the stats??.......Canucks 1st place, tied for 4th overall, second overall in goals scored.....I guess the sky is falling.

2)Regarding the Colorado game....You seemed delighted when Colorado went up 4-1?? Somehow this justified your rants about Luongo......Your exact words were........"I am F_CKIN SPEECHLESS..Can he stop anything that does not hit him in the crest..What kind of drugs are you guys on? and can I have some? looks like another yank job can we get a real goalie n there?

Truce....let's get back to supporting the Canuck's. I agree that Luongo has sucked lately, my point is, he will get over his slump, so as long as the team keeps winning.....let's cut Lui some slack.

Ok Truce, being called a Flames fan is worse than being called a raging fagg-t..:> ill try and give Lui a little slack but a wrist shot from the side boards?..the team has been playing good recently but like the airwaves have been saying Gillis is basically saying this is not our year by standing pat..i dont get it? dont you think S.Walker would be a great playoff pick up?

Regarding pick-ups for the play-offs....There are three catagories...

1)pick-up a top line forward to push you over the top....Hossa, etc. You sell out the future to go for it NOW, if this works....CUP!! and good on you!!

2)pick-up a player who adds an instant need to your team, better back-up goalie, better second line center, top penalty killer etc. You give up a future asset for a rental player who may get you an extra round in the playoffs.

3)Depth player (Walker)Who could help our team if we had an unexpected injury etc. I would not have wasted a 7th round pick on Walker this season unless our D core was 100% healthy cause we aren't going far until our D core gets 100% healthy. We need Bieksa and Mitchell or this team goes out in the first round. Why waste a draft pick on Walker, unless he is an insurance pick-up. Face it Walker could not crack a healthy Canuck roster, so the only need to add him is for insurance.
