This is one of the strangest series in recent memory for me. There's absolutely nothing I can point to and say Pittsburgh isn't doing well. They're moving the puck well, winning puck battles, getting a ton of shots, good scoring chances and they're winning faceoffs. Realistically, they should be up at least 3-1 if not 4-0.
All that being said, sometimes a team just hits a wall. Alot of guys on this team have played ALOT of hockey the last 3 seasons and may be starting to wear down. That paired with how hot Halak is playing is pretty much the closest thing to a logical explanation I can come up with for why they are back in Pittsburgh tied at 2.
I think Sid and Malkin have to come out and dominate tonight. They have to grab this team by the throat and throw them through that wall if they have to, and we all know they can. I think Pittsburgh takes this one 5-2.
