Back in 1981, I was a junior in high school and attended "High School Sports Editors' Day" at the Kingdome. We had a press conference just for us with a few people from the Mariners, including a player, who was as thoroughly entertaining in that setting as he was playing. He is famous for getting down on his hands and knees and blowing a bunt foul. And therefore, I am very pleased to take one of the best characters ever in baseball, and a mighty fine player as well:

When I think of Lennie Randle, I think of him punching his manager, Frank Lucchesi (sp?).
