Frustrating, but we made it close after trailing by 9 at the half. Abate missed a last-second three-pointer.

A big win over #4 Syracuse. We trailed by 12 at the half before coming out and getting 50 points in the second half. We had the lead for the last 2 minutes, so it's not quite as close as it looks.

It looks like there's gonna be a really strong competition this year for the Ivy League crown. Hell of a turnaround for Columbia.

Mid-term grades just came out. I tried to attach it to this email, but if it doesn't come through, let me know - I have a paper copy on my desk.

I highlighted anybody I thought may be a problem. Looks like there's one that needs some extra study hall time:

Another important win for my RPI. It was very close until about 7 minutes remained, then we pulled away with FT shooting.

This was a huge win. We got a great game from Harrington, which is heartening, and from Richards, which is expected. Our defense was excellent and we take a game from a tough opponent at their place.

05/13colorblind79I don't mind you being erudite as long as you avoid didacticism
05/13coachensteinPlease, Schultzie, don't force me to be erudite (from the Latin "eruditus" meaning "learning" or "instruction"). You know how that annoys Colourblind.
05/13schultz11what about - nice a$$ kicking, cb
05/13colorblind79we should have more teams ranked but it's hard to break through the first time, without a massive winning streak, and this conference may be too tough this year for that to happen for any team on the brink.
05/13coachensteinbonus venatus. But surely that can't be what "gg" stands for because, if it were, everybody would be posting "bv."
05/12schultz11gg cyben...was pretty happy to go 2 for 3 in @princeton, @penn, @bucknell to start the conference stint...stein what's "good game" in latin?
05/12coachensteinI gather this "gg" everyone keeps referring to is not Lerner and Lowe's academy award winning musical "Gigi"? Don't tell me. Let me figure it out for myself. (It can't be Good God. Right? That would be profane. And there's ...
05/12coachenstein...no profanity in HD.)
05/12cyben5150GG schultz. Tough way to lose a game...especially one that I needed so much.
05/12colorblind79gg zamiam. It was close for a long time there. You've set up a very tough schedule for yourself but I think you'll be able to hit your stride soon and clear the .500 mark easily, despite the tough competition in conference play.
05/11drubrallyIt was certainly a good one for you guys. We got clobbered.
05/11colorblind79gg dru. That win was a big help for my RPI.
05/10hoosierchapLooks like we should get good representation in the tournaments.
05/10drubrallyGG muffin. I was really suprised to get that one considering how well your guys have played.
05/10muffin_manGG drubally. I knew I had to lose at some point, and I'm sure this won't be the last.
05/09colorblind79I think they settled too often for 3-point shots. Almost half of your attempts were from the outside. That'll cut down on drawn fouls by quite a bit.
05/09thadbWow, my team took ZERO free throws against Fordham last night... that's a first for me. Nice job, colorblind.
05/08thadbOf course, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that they couldn't find anyone more athletic (or with any basic basketball skills) walking around the Brown campus.
05/08thadbI know, LOL -- we're always stopping practice because the guy is tripping over his own feet... I've seen better walkons in Division III.
05/08schultz11thad, that walk-on you have is hiliarioius...a 5 ath and 1 speed? it must be the author stephen king, right?
05/08thadbThanks for the kind words. I know that, with no seniors, next year is when I should see the most improvement... but I thought things would be further along this season than they are. Plus, with the conference doing so well, the conference schedule ...
05/08thadb...is really daunting!
05/08colorblind79it takes some time to build a program, generally. If you keep recruiting well, I expect you'll have them winning not only next year, but in the long run.
05/08coachensteinBrown is a young team with its best seasons ahead of it.
05/08thadbI think the rest of the conference is going to cut a wide swath through Brown in conference play....
----------

just a touch of the current flavor in the Ivy League. We've got a great conference, here, and I'd like to see it fill up with some more good coaches.
