Crosby`s gonna need a megaphone for the ref to hear him now

FYI, the noise level at the Bell Centre after Spacek's goal was measured at 127 dB tonight.

It seems like every breakdown the boys have finds the puck in the back of our net. Game 7 now where anything can, and usually does, happen. I'm confident we can pull it off, but very, very nervous.

Let's hope the players aren't as nervous as you chuck. I can tell you that Montreal is going absolutely nuts. The party going on here in the streets in front of the Bell Centre is ridiculous, and you can bet the Penguins will notice it as they leave the rink.

If I'm Dan Bylsma right now, I grab Sid and tell him to shut his mouth, to stop yapping at the refs and the opposition, and to grab this team by the throat and pull them to the next round. It's time for Sid to show why he has that "C" on his sweater.

If I were Bylsma, I'd tell them to keep their damn feet moving for the entire game. They played balls out for half the game, then started skating around like they were waiting for the cute girl to ask them if they wanted to pair up for the couple's skate....
The Spacek goal...Why wasn't anyone close enough to try to get a stick on the shot, or even go down and try to block it? Instead they did the close your legs thing at 20 feet away and basically screened Fleury for him....
If they don't keep at it for 60 minutes, Montreal is going to win the series because they ARE playing the whole game....I can take not winning, I've seen a lot of it in the past, but I can't take letting the other team back in it after spending almost the entire first half of the game in their end....It's ridiculous.

Bah!! Game 7.

Go habs!!

Posted for selfish (hockey pool) reason's.

donald, you gotta also give Montreal some credit here. They haven't quit all playoffs and have played as 5 man unit and contested every inch of ice for every minute that they've played. Pittsburgh didn't just give the games they lost away. Neither did Washington. Montreal deserves some credit for taking those games away as well.

I blame the fact that I have to listen to Steigerhole and Errey.
5/11/2010 10:32 AM
Doesn't Lang still do the games? Listening to him as a kid are some of my favorite hockey memories. "Lemieux beat him like a rented mule!!!"

Unfortunately, because of $$$ reasons, FSN Pittsburgh sticks us with Steigie and Errey and Mike Lange is exiled to radio. All the polls ever taken of Pens fans want Lange back on TV, but the accountants won't allow it, saying FSN's ratings are through the roof. That is true, but icing a competitive team had more to do with it than the 2 guys we are stuck listening to on the TV side.

That really sucks! Unfortunately for me, any Penguins hockey I see is on VS, NBC or the NHL network. I do like the PBP guy for NBC who also does some of the VS games. I can't remember his name, Mike something I think. He did the game last night. Too bad the Penguins quit playing halfway through! Here's to a Game 7 victory!!!!!!!! GO PENS!!!!!!!!

If you go back and look at my post again....I said Montreal would win the series if the Pens don't keep at it, because they (Montreal) do. I'm not taking anything away from the Habs, I'm just ****** that the Pens seem to slow down later in the game.
5/11/2010 11:11 PM
Ok fair enough...I wonder if they're starting to wear down after being finalists the last two seasons and the Olympics and all.
5/12/2010 12:08 AM
I've been telling the wife that Sid looks a step slower in this series. I don't know if it is because he is gassed, or because of the way the Habs are playing him. Probably a combination of a little of both.
