Well, I'm not really sure about this deal. I really like Kesler and he plays a fantastic two way game, but when did 20 goals and 60 points for 5 million a season become a great deal? I think Alex Burrows is the same calibre of player Kesler is and he got a 4 year deal worth 2 million per. Something doesn't add up there.
To be clear, I'm not necessarily saying Kesler didn't deserve this kind of deal if you look at solely him, but this deal throws the salary structure of this team completely out of whack in my opinion because it's too close to what the Sedins make and too far from what Burrows makes, all of which are fairly recent deals.
