By the way, kinoa won Season 1 with Westbrook as backup PG. I won't even be playing him as much as kinoa did, no more than 13 minutes per game
well i like your chances better now..hes a good backup to lebron
but at the 5th/6th turn?
I needed the boards. I wanted a board advantage. Westbrook gives me the defensive boards to be able to play someone like Favors at backup C if I have to. Think about the possible five season Ewing backups from this point on. See any with enough DReb%, defense and usage? Yeah, me neither. Silas just went.
For 48 minutes on every team, I no longer have to worry about rebounds or passing at all.
That all makes sense. The question is whether that's worth the opportunity cost of not getting to pick a player who plays more at this spot, then taking Westbrook anyway in 48 picks. But I can see why you wouldn't want to take the risk of him not being there. I have the same issue trying to find a backup for MJ; I'm probably going to have to draft 2-3 guys just to back him up for 10 mpg across five leagues. Westbrook is probably the only single guy you have take that would cover backing up Lebron.
Now, all that being said - still doesn't explain, if you were so concerned about rebounding advantage, why you picked Cheeks.
