It's just that it seems the most interesting component would be ability to predict what guys will look like in 3-4 seasons (after all, the whole thing is called "HD Oracle"), and if player potential takes that away, I'm just not exactly sure what you're with.

While not an attack, this represents the type of criticism I feel is unjustified.

I'm a full-time student with a full-time job devoting my "free" time to a project which I hope will benefit the HD community. Writing it off as "crap" wouldn't fall under the category of just criticism, in my opinion.

Users will be allowed to use the product for seven days after installation for trial purposes. The cost of the product will support the continuing efforts of bringing something beneficial to the HD community.
No offense, but I think if it was done purely to benefit the HD community, it wouldn't cost $30 a pop. And while it's certainly open to debate, I definitely don't view this as a benefit to HD as a whole.

you mean "wouldn't" right?

I need more smokes! Pay up!

$30? Seriously?
3/23/2008 3:46 PM
Way to think outside the box. Though the concept might sell, I highly doubt you'll get many users @ that price? I might be wrong.

Not sure why I'd pay 30 dollars to ruin something I pay 5-10 dollars a season to play.

Woohoo! Can't wait to buy this. Looks good elmoore and more power to you for future enhancements.

I look forward to it most for its tracking capabilities. Will be a lot easier storing everything in this program then using my 20-30 excel sheets.

So is anyone going to buy this? Also, if you buy it do you get a serial key or what? What if you want to run it on 2 different comps? Do you need 2 buy 2 ones? Spiderz or paradox can probably crack this anyway.

$30 certainly seems steep to me at face value. I'd entertain buying it at $10 or less, $30 is out of the question (for me at least.) I am, however, extremely interested in hearing some feedback from anyone who does buy it and uses it for a season or two.

EDIT:

Also the idea of a demo period is very appealing.

This is what is interesting to me. I like to see my players' progress from year to year, but don't enjoy collecting the info (so I only do it for 2 schools). If this program does this adeptly & stores it for multiple past seasons to track both a player's and program's progress/history (ex: I screen capture my team's final schedule to recall rivalry games), I'll gladly plunk down $30.

I'll certainly do the trial and then make a choice from their. I have no problem with 30 bucks one time if its worth it.
