Well, that is the best player I've seen... previous best OVR I've seen was something like a 53.

wow thats a good keeper. I have scouted a few 57s and they cost about 120-130k. never seen a 58 but can't imagine why the SIM gave him such a huge contract.

I just looked at your team. That's crazy. Removing your top six salaries leaves you at 17 players and 1.144 mil. And as I understand it, the system is set up to not cut goalies, which would have you with 422k tied up in goalies.

Not to be alarmist, but I don't really know what the system is going to do with your team now. Probably the best thing you could hope for is to lose that goalie! You've already got two other very good ones.

that might actually be right, I saw a 57 F that wanted 123000 per season, from what I can tell, being very general with OVR is that a solid mid 40 OVR F or M might want between 40 to 50, but a GK wants like 60 to 70 and a lot of GK in the low 50's want around 80 to 90.

280000 does seem high, and probably is, but if a 57 F gets 123000, then a 58-60 GK might push towards 200, 280 probably is high though.

did someone have this team last season or is this really all sim? You know if someone had this team last season, they could have signed some of these players at crazy salaries the last few days of the season ar prorated costs but then it screws up this season.

If that person had sat on thier cash all season they could have signed several expensivve free agents to expensive mutli year contracts the last few days of the season. I just dont think the sim would have done this.

You do not take over other person's teams, so this is not the case.

What is the league minimum salary?
Your team is subject to a freakishly high ended random player generation. Usually the team is balanced quite a bit at both high and low end, and that GK is freakishly high in his own right. You normally won't see players like that for a few more seasons, but if all the randomness hits on the high end, you can get a player like that. Matters are worse because you seem to have quite a few other players that were generated high.

After week 10, your team will be quite a bit different. I would guess you could lose up to 9 or so players and gain a few lower salaried players. It will cut a few players until you are below minimum roster size and then start replacing players to get you to positive cash. So this will quite easily be the biggest change I've ever seen for a team.

By the end of week 10, your team should be all set to play. The only difference is that half of your team will most likely be new to you.

I did have it set to not cut below 3 GKs, but I am going to have to change that specifically for this case. It wouldn't be right to force you to spend almost a third of your cash on one player.

Glad I could test the boundaries of the FC engine. It's new and free so no complaints from me, although it would have been nice to get some cash from another club for transfering this goalie to a premier type league team... but we are just testing the new product here so no big deal.

Right now no one can afford that goalie, free agent or transfer or whatever. And by the time anyone can afford him, he might be 35 or 36 years old.

Think that could work with my Powerball ticket? I'll split it with you ...

At least I feel a little better, knowing there are teams worse off than myself. I'm assuming that five top players are headed elsewhere. I'll admit I stopped paying attention when there was such a long delay getting into a world, but I'm not sure I could have done anything to fix this:

World 77 - USA - Division 1 Season 2 - Week 7
Stadium Capacity: 5,000 Balance: ($463,000)
Roster: 23 / 26
Category Amount
Rollover from Last Season $0
League Payout $860,000
Player Wages ($1,323,000)
Transfer Fees $0
Scouting $0
Game Revenue $0
Stadium Upgrades $0
Balance ($463,000)

Followup: The sim kept my (58 overall, $280,000) goalie and dropped a bunch of my $70,000 + middies and forwards. He's 2 and 0 with 2 cleansheets.

That might kill your budget for the second season. You'll really have to watch that closely.

Talk about a rough way to start your 1st season...23 players

Rollover from Last Season£0
League Payout£576,597
Player Wages-£854,839
Transfer Fees£0
Scouting£0
Game Revenue£0
Stadium Upgrades£0
Balance-£278,242

Pretty sure that basically means almost a whole new roster for me come week 10.

Oh well, we do what we can.
