By the way fellas, I apologize for my lag in responding and naming reigny. Been busy with the dentist.

Yeah reigny's team just lost 20 straight games and nothings being done about it.

reigny's got a .347 winning percentage in 104 HBD seasons. Do you think he knows how to do anything about it?

He shows similar "success" in almost all other games he's played. Check out his GD record (278-1032 in 103 seasons).

He likes to collect top draft picks, and then quickly promote them to the ML team, while continuing to lose 100+ games every season. He is not a good owner, but I don't think that has anything to do with this thread, which originally was focused on whether or not we have alias issues in the league.

One pair of linked accounts has come forward. Still waiting on the others to do so...

Ok, serious question.

If you have a couple of accounts and have made a "suspect" trade or two(or have even had some vetoed), would YOU come forward and admit it when you know WifS isn't going to expose you?

Seriously. Ask yourself that.

No, not at all. Especially when several of the suspected linked accounts are in another league together. But if they've done nothing wrong, then they have no reason not to come forward, right? And if they don't come forward, Admin has no reason to protect them, right? What is Admin protecting them from?

Nobody has attacked the one pair that came forward. All we want is the truth, the truth which Admin has and refuses to share citing privacy reasons. I'm not really sure how saying chadrader and xandor2 have linked accounts violates their privacy, but I can see where not disclosing that information violates the other owners expectations that they are playing on an even playing field.

Who says they've done nothing wrong? Anyway, when someone is on a witchhunt, witches hide. No need to come forward and say "Hey, I'm a witch!" Who knows what will happen?

You're trying to get ADMIN to hand over names. I've raised holy hell with ADMIN for even discussing me with other owners in tickets. That's not their place. ADMIN sees you as one problem. You seem to be the only one pressing and you damn sure haven't done what I said you should. If you want to expose owners, do it. Provide some proof. Post it for all to see.

Or quit bellyaching. Either you have something or you don't.
11/23/2009 12:04 PM
Having something and irrefutable proof are two different things. Admin has valuable information that would make proving something much easier. I can make a heck of a case for it within a week with that information. It will take much longer without it. And even then, you can always make up some excuse why something happened...nobody is going to admit to it even after the proof is shown.

At this point, the best course of action (and the easiest) seems like it would be to just start throwing names out one at a time on the WC page and discussing whether or not we think someone is cheating...discussing trades, vetoes, budgets, transactions with other suspected aliases, etc. That's not the most productive way, but it may be what they've reduced the options to.

Don't go for easy. If you show proof, the general public of HBD will be glad to stone the owners. If nothing else, commissioners of other worlds will know who they are and avoid them.

Why does everyone in America always say "Oh, that's too hard. I want the easy way!!"? No wonder unemployment is getting out of hand. Work is hard.

Disclosing that information can lead to privacy violations. People are innocent until proven guilty, therefore, if they were to release that information to you, it would open a pandora's box of harassment of those particular individuals, even though they might not be doing anything wrong.

It's not your place to "demand" they release it to you. It's up to you to find out who they are on your own and then take it to Admin with your evidence.

If you really care about the league, you'll do the necessary digging yourself.

If you would just like to cause a big stir and not really fix anything, well... mission accomplished.

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury,

You see 4 men standing in front of you. If you'd be so kind as to tell me which one you'd be most likely to convict, I'll proceed to make a case against him.

Thank you,

That world may be the biggest clusterF in the history of WifS.

You've got an owner who drops 21 straight and another guy defends him by saying "Whoa, wait a minute, he just won his last three so he's not 6-33 anymore. I think he's turning it around." Then, Mr. L21 says "I took a bad team and made no changes so I could see what I have." If you've played 100 seasons, take over a team that won 50, 50, 51 over the last 3, and you don't know what you have, you shouldn't be playing HBD.

The best thing that could happen is a server malfunction that destroys all data to Kruk.

Honestly, anyone who has taken over bad teams before can usually tell what they have in short order. It doesn't take a rocket scientist.
