yeah, no problem. I never wanted recruiting to get moved back nor do I think it ever should.

Dalt, the only way I could win a NT at Northwestern is if recruiting started for me on Christmas Eve and everybody else is allowed to start on the 26th after signings. Oh, and the entire division would need to be SIM AI juco recruits.

so, what was zhawksgate? now i am curious, come on zhawks, tell us young folk a nice christmas story :)

If they pushed back recruiting for 1 holiday it forces them to do it for every holiday and before those of you that want it done for christmas start to explain to me why it should just be christmas that this is done for, take a deep breath first and realize how selfish that is, not only on a personal level but also on a religious level to many many WIS users.

I'd say push it back for every religious holiday - Yom Kippur, Christmas, Easter, whatever. WIS should plan ahead for these types of situations.

So recruiting would likely never start. Let's just only start recruiting on the 3rd tuesday of every month. That should keep us away from any holidays.

I'd also like to live in a world where it's socially acceptable to sit on a phone and recruit fake basketball players while at the dinner table - which is where I suspect a lot of folks on the East Coastwould be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on the 24th.

I think it sucks if your recruiting falls on a holiday. The issue is can they make every exception?

Well, first off, let me say that I feel responsible for launching a whole mess of arguing here. I don't think there's any need for flame wars here. The fact is, I, like many other people in Knight, I'm sure, will have several places to be on the 24th and 25th, celebrating the holidays with my family. Anyone trying to say that HD recruiting is more important than spending time with the family is borderline insane, and that's exactly the reason I lobbied to push it back.

I certainly would not consider myself very religious, and I wasn't lobbying for recruiting to be pushed back for religious reasons. To anyone who interpreted it as such, I apologize. Again, I submitted a ticket so that my opinion would be heard and considered by the powers-that-be.

Regardless, I'm content to accept the decision made by WIS, even if it's not the one I pushed for. Let's all calm down, drink some eggnog (or something), and let cooler heads prevail.

Learn to recruit every six hours so you stop getting your panties in a wad. Or join GD where recruiting always falls on the same day of the week and plan ahead for yourself!
