Its not the way you are treated, its the way you want to be treated.

Its easy to tell someone to do something when you're not in the situation. I'm not going to be barked at and told I'm wrong (especially when my argument/point is being misconstrued) and just sit idly quiet...its not me.

I was suggesting that that might have been the reasoning. Largely I posted the way I did because of past spats with dalter...if he wants to latch onto that, that's really not my problem. Bottom line is, you'll always get out of me what you are seeking, nothing more, and nothing less.

That may very well be the case. But if it is, it quite simply invalidates your other claims about how you're the one being targeted, that you only respond like an *** when people are mean to you first, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

Also, what have you necessarily done to earn my decency? I know I haven't earned yours, but what have you done except be an ***?

When I vehemently disagreed with some of your premises, to you that's being an ***. That's your prerogative, I suppose. But I supply all kinds of non-jerky answers and dialogue to you (just see the randomness thread started today for examples) and many others. You can't say the same.

That doesn't change anything about how you guys have come at me. Sure I'm a dick at times, most times its in response to stuffy criticisms on your part, but I'm sure I take some getting used to. I never said that I didn't come across like an ***, just that most times its brought on by guys like you.

Even politicians know that when 90% of people are against you to give it up. YOU never learned this lesson yet. When you constantly say something is wrong or OUTRAGEOUS! and most people blow it off or try to explain to you why it is not and you still go down your road thats your fault.

Its like seeing someone who has never studied a sociology class try to talk about Marx and try to tell you your wrong on the topic when they have no clue. Oh wait I kinda described you. Is your best record in a season 15-14 ever? Oh and have you ever stayed at the same school for 2 seasons in a row except for this one? Guess that answers the question of if you should have any say on these things.

You can think something is wrong, but refer to CS until you have a better resume to put forth. I feel like were listening to Matt McMillan talk about how to GM a Pro Football team.

First 10-20 posts I ever posted against you I was not being a dick or anything. What happens is over the course of a month of you posting about how everything is screwed up in this game. RNG is bad, recruiting should be easier, recruiting should be shorter, why do we need to have 8 recruiting periods, the ratings should be what the game is based on only, the #1 seed in the PIT doesn't deserve it at all, we need to not use the RPI, my ranking system should be used cause its way better, this needs to not be as random as real life, I don't want HD to mirror real life, blah blah blah...

Overwhelmingly people have disagreed with you and posted sensible to the point counter-arguments that most hold to be true but you seem to try to hold onto your argument at the expense of logic. This is why people start getting frustrated with you and make back-handed comments to you. Its not cause you have a new idea, its cause you have an idea that most don't find to be true and they tell you why but you want to push it forward at all costs and try to ram it down our throats.

Like I said before until you have a better resume just tell CS about it.

Like I said, they're more prone to give you a "damage control" answer than the truth...that's what I've seen at least. colonels19......I was a frequent visitor and contributor on the forum for quite some time. I stopped looking at them altogether a year ago because instead of an exchange of information place, it became a name-calling posting board. The know-it-all at that time was furry.

Recently, I began reading the boards again. It's disappointing to see that the same thing is going on under your screen name rather than furry. As I read some of the past topics, I see that furry has matured into someone who contributes to the knowledge for the group as a whole. He no longer insists he is right about everything. He no longer argues just to argue. He will defend his thinking, but listens to (and thinks about) what is being said with the personalities of the individuals removed......in other words, he is thinking about topics rather than the people he is responding to.

On the other hand, you are almost a carbon copy (remember those?) of what furry USE to be. Unless you are an alter-ego of the original furry, I invite you to go back in the archives and read some of his (furry's) caustic threads. Then ask yourself, do I want to stay on the path I'm on or do I want to a)contribute to the group, and 2) continue to learn about the game from some of the most successful coaches who have played the game.

I broke my "radio silence" for this remark. It is not my intention to begin an interaction with you. I'm just someone who has been around a while looking in and mentioning something that, I hope, will lead to better communication with the group as a whole. If furry could do it, so can you.

Fair enough...I certainly didn't want to get started off on the wrong foot, but I did with a handful of guys and it has become quite the circus. I certainly have a unique way of looking at things that errs toward the negative, thus if things are "going well", you'll probably see me not post too much as opposed to when its going badly....its kind of how real life works. You don't call Taco Bell to tell them you had a great meal, you call them to ***** about how sick your kid got or that you found a hair in your steak quesadilla.

I honestly didn't think that things would get out of hand at all and I was very surprised at the angst here, but like I said earlier, its not in me most times to just sit quiet when people ON THESE BOARDS are saying you're wrong, you're stupid, you're illogical, you don't know what you're talking about. Most times I'm going to stand up and be held accountable.

I don't hate anyone on these boards, I'd much rather get along with everyone here but it doesn't always work that way, especially when some folks are just hellbent on getting one up on you. I've participated in creating that culture, but again it was never the intent.
