Shockingly, here's a game from today w. 30 points scored in OT.

No. 18 Wisconsin 79, Penn State 71
1st2ndOTFinal
Penn State (8-11, 0-7 Big Ten)33271171
Wisconsin (16-4, 6-2 Big Ten)25351979

And that's from a team known as being down tempo and very strong defensively.

Too much randomness, if we used TRNG then things like that wouldn't happen dalt!!! ...

dalter - do not confuse this discussion with facts!!

This should be interesting
I have nothing to do with these folks coming and posting in defense of me, didn't ask for it, don't know who they are, its just happening. Feel free to believe what you will, but my aliai are statsink, kgb_sickle and $$$.

Considering I wasn't griping about the result to begin with, all that other commentary is moot.

If that's how you want to play it, then fine, go ahead. (I submit that had you lost the game rather than won, it would've evolved from "weird result" to full-on "gripe" very quickly ... but people don't post stuff result because they think they're normal or true.)

At a bare minimum, you have consistently referenced all these results that don't past your "eye test". This was one of them, and the very next day, the same result happened in a totally unremarkable game in real life.

So at the very least, it calls into question your judgment in regards to this "eye test" that you base your conclusions on.

As a Badger fan, I would say very remarkable :)

But his next statement would be, automatically, that real life 'doesn't count'

Not going to say that, but that's what I've always contended, thus it wouldn't just be some out of the blue excuse for me.

I prefer talking to a hand puppet, but that's just me.

Dalter, why do you keep falling for his spiel? He acknowledged in another thread that he's just pulling strings.......
1/25/2010 10:56 AM
There's no spiel, please.
1/25/2010 10:59 AM
folks should know that they use pseudo random for Penn State home games - which may explain this result

Keep trying to convince everybody of that. Anyone who has followed those nightmares of threads closely knows different. In fact, it's been blatantly obvious.
