Murcer was supposed to be the next Mantle (and later traded for the guy supposed to be the next Mays, Bobby Bonds). While he was not Mantle, had he played his entire career in the original Yankee Stadium, he would have hit over 400 HR's and been a borderline HOFer.

My 2 cents.
