Elduro, I can apologize as well.  Especially considering Soriano was slated as my closer and Reed would have slotted in nicely right in the middle of my rotation, but I'm really sad to have waited one round too long for Magglio asa  RHed power/avg bat in the OF would have been a very nice addition to my lineup.

I also agree with you on the point above.  I have shaped my draft strategy around the league rules as laid out before the draft, and I think they actually give owners an incentive to stick around for a few of these instead of going for broke one season and jetting.

If this becomes a major problem for anyone we can take a quick vote on changing it, however I think I made it clear before we started drafting!
I voted on point #2 in my last post, and on point #1 I vote that we only expand the seasons as I think that will expand the pool of owners who join and stick around the league.  Perhaps we could eventually set up a rule that once a player is either blacklisted in a draft 3 to5 times or is used in 5 seasons then they are blacklisted forever if the owner who drafted them at some point drops that player.  Just a thought for future leagues.

Yes, at this point of the draft it wouldn't be fair to change it due to those who have been drafting with that rule in mind.

I haven't necessarily been after players who have a good couple of 1st seasons but I have reconciled to myself that I will have a few players that won't be very good the 1st couple of seasons because I have to start them out with their rookie or 2nd season.

Still waiting for Disco, however calhoop SM me and said he'll be gone for the weekend so we will probably be on semi-hold until Monday anyway.

Sent him another sitemail asking why we are waiting for him. I don't mind if he's got a good reason. He's opened my last sitemails so he knows we are waiting.

He has until Tuesday 6pm Central to get his round 6 picks in. If not we'll skip him and he'll get 9 picks in round 7. I'm just hoping he hasn't jumped ship!
